    New Holland Fiat India Celebrates 250,000th

    Tractor Milestone and Announces Expansion Plans

    NEW DELHI/GREATER NOIDA, India (June 18, 2013) - New Holland Fiat India (NHFI), one of

    the leading agricultural equipment companies in India, celebrated today the 250,000th tractor

    rolled out of the assembly line of its Greater Noida facility. During the ceremony, Mr Rakesh

    Malhotra, Head of NHFI, handed the key to the tractor - a New Holland 5500 - to its proud

    customer Smt. Hema Raghuwanshi from Vidisha district, Madhya Pradesh.

    This important milestone comes just three years after New Holland rolled out its 150,000th

    tractor, highlighting the remarkable growth in its tractor business. A subsidiary of CNH Global

    and part of the Fiat Industrial Group, NHFI has expanded its business vision beyond itstechnologically superior range of 32 hp to 75 hp tractors. Today the company also manufactures

    the 8000 family of 3- and 4-cyliner Tier 3 engines, 3 families of transmissions and other

    components. It has become the first company in India to offer complete farming solutions from

    sowing to harvesting with a wide range of implements and hay and forage equipment, as well as

    specialized mechanization. Its unique product offering includes sugarcane harvesters, biomass

    solutions, balers, mowers and choppers.

    Expansion plans for Greater Noida and new plant in Chakan announced

    As a continuation of this fast growth track, NHFI has announced at the event its plans to

    increase production capacity at its Greater Noida factory to reach 60,000 tractors within two

    years, and to set up a new plant at Chakan in Maharashtra to manufacture sugarcaneharvesters, cotton pickers and combine harvesters. The new factory is expected to be

    operational by 2015. These plans fit within the companys aggressive growth program in India

    and further reveal its commitment to providing complete farm mechanization solutions for a

    variety of crops and agricultural businesses.

    Mr Franco Fusignani, Fiat Industrial Chief Operating Officer Asia Pacific, who presided

    over the official ground breaking ceremony of the Greater Noida plant in 1998, commented about

    the milestone, I have been closely involved in New Hollands history in India from the very

    beginning, following its progress as it has been anticipating and meeting the changing needs of

    farmers. NHFIs success has also come from its careful attention to the customer, which

    extends beyond high productivity farming techniques, fuel consumption and operator comfort to

    include a focus on the environment and sustainable practices. This is a source of great pride

    and I am confident that it will continue to support as effectively the future development of Indian

    farming.

    to promote the use of biomass as a source of energy and compost to improve soil quality. NHFI

    contributes not only its expertise in this field, but also provides the tractors, rakes, balers and

    harvesters best suited to biomass collection, transport and processing.

    Mr Stefano Pampalone, Head of Fiat Industrial Operations - India, Pakistan, Far East and

    Japan, speaking on the occasion said, India is an extremely important market for the Group.NHFI is a key international hub for us, as it exports its products and components worldwide, with

    approximately 25% of its tractors sold in about 50 countries, primarily in Africa, the Middle East

    and North America. The expansion we announced today aims to further develop our

    manufacturing base and product offerings to leverage our capability of providing complete

    farming solutions and expert support.
