The CSX7000 combines designed and built by New Holland, the

of combine innovations than any other brand and the CSX7000 range

combines are a clear example of this proven leadership. Advanced

Large scale farmers and contractors looking for a high

capacity combine harvester will appreciate the strengths

of the CSX7000 models. Four-drum threshing and separation

technology includes the Straw Flow™ beater that maintains

throughput all day long. When specified, the Smart Sieve™

self levelling cleaning system matches cleaning capacity

to the huge throughput and maintains full efficiency on slopes.

The Discovery Plus cab with standard IntelliView II™ monitor

supports the professional operator while the cab’s comfort

and convenience help maintain alertness during the long highly

productive days. In line with the current cultivation practice

in large farming operations the CSX7000 range handles the

residue in a professional way. Modern, powerful engines and

the combine’s robust construction make the CSX7000 combine

range a top performer in demanding crops such as maize.

The CSX7060 and the CSX7060 Laterale are five-

strawwalker units with headers up to 6.10m (20ft)

and the CSX7080 and the CSX7080 Laterale are six-

strawwalker units with headers up to 7.32m (24ft).

In addition to High-Capacity grain headers all models

can be specified with Varifeed™ headers, which feature

a knife position adjustment of 500mm and Extra-

Capacity headers with an advanced knife position of

150mm. On the CSX7080 and the CSX7080 Laterale

combines the grain tank holds 9000 litres and on the

CSX7060 and the CSX7060 Laterale models it holds

7500 litres. The Iveco Cursor 9 engines with common

rail injection produce 200kW [272hp(CV)] on the

CSX7060 and 220kW [299hp(CV)] on the CSX7080.

Just over 100 years ago, in 1906 Leon

Claeys made his first threshing machines

in Zedelgem, Belgium, where in 1952

the first European self-propelled combine

harvester was built. Today, the Zedelgem

site is the “New Holland centre of

excellence for harvesting equipment”.

Boosting throughput:

Rotary Separator with Multi-Thresh™

system and Straw Flow™ beater

A vital element of the four-drum-technology

is one of New Holland’s many inventions,

the Rotary Separator. The lugs create

a rubbing action that moves the crop

along while forcing the kernels out of

the straw mat. This results in a more fluid

throughput and increased separation.

When cereal varieties or varying degrees

of crop humidity require a lower impact,

the Multi-Thresh™ system allows setting the

Rotary Separator concave in a lower position.

The Straw Flow™ beater not only changes

the direction of the crop, it also helps ensure

the throughput is maintained in damp crop

conditions, and that the full strawwalker

area is used for final separation.

Four-drum threshing and separation increase throughput

To fulfil the high expectations of owners and operators, the threshing

and separation area of the CSX7000 range of combine is based on four-

drum technology: threshing drum with Opti-Thresh™ concave, beater,

standard Rotary Separator, and standard Straw Flow™ beater.

The large rubbing area between threshing drum and threshing

concave offers high threshing performance.

Thanks to the standard Rotary Separator and Straw Flow™ beater

the combine’s capacity is huge, ensuring maximum separation even

in damp conditions. More directional changes and speed differences

increase the impact of the threshing action: that means increased

separation. The Straw Flow™ beater completes the “forced separation

area” and helps ensure separation capacity in more difficult

crop conditions. Four-drum technology provides more

direct control over the crop flow and improves throughput.

This helps make the most of a long working day.

THRESHING & SEPARATION.

Rubbing-on-demand: the Opti-Thresh™ system

In addition to drum speed adjustment and fine concave

adjustment, both made by remote control from within

the cab, the Opti-Thresh™ system offers a major concave

setting facility. To adapt the rubbing requirement to harvest

conditions such as grain maturity and yield, the rear part

of the Opti-Thresh™ concave can be re-positioned. When in

the closed position the concave reaches a full 121° degrees

of wrap. When the top section, which is hinged, is moved

away from the drum, the rubbing action is softer.

This results in even better straw quality.

Easy adjustment

Little time and effort is required to change

the concave positions or to change the

CLEANING.

Efficient cleaning of the high volumes of grain separated by CSX7000 range of combines is carried out by

large adjustable top and bottom sieves that move in an opposite direction to each other, plus plenty of

perfectly distributed air. To maintain this high cleaning efficiency even on slopes, the CSX7000 range of

combines is equipped with the Smart Sieve™ system. This system neutralises the effect of side slopes by

directing the grain uphill, so that it is evenly spread over the full width of pre-sieve and top-sieve. This helps

provide improved grain samples.

Even smarter: linear movement of the sieves

What is the importance of the linear

movement of the sieves?

• The sieves perform equally

on both left and right slopes.

• The side correction can be as much as 27mm.

As such the Smart Sieve™ system can maintain

a uniform cropmat on sieves on slopes up

to 25% at maximum efficiency. An additional

advantage is that the Smart Sieve™ system

includes a pre-sieve so that the performance

on flat fields is the same as on a fixed shoe.

Patented linkages

The lateral movement of the pre-sieve and top-

sieve assembly is created by a combination of

pivoting rods resulting in a linear movement of

the sieves. Depending on the slope that needs

to be corrected, the amplitude of the lateral

movement is adjusted by repositioning pivot

points through an electric actuator.

Really smart:

automatic kernel size adaptation

The patented New Holland Smart Sieve™

cleaning system recognises not only the slope

being worked on but also the grain kernel size

of the harvested crop, the optimal levelling

correction is obtained by taking these two

elements into account.

Maintain your speed on slopes

Cleaning efficiency is in line with the

threshing and separation capacity of

the combine. When working on slopes,

the tendency of the grain kernels to move

“down-hill” could disturb this efficiency.

The patented New Holland Smart Sieve™

concept neutralises this tendency on

slopes up to 25% both sides depending

on the crop.

Pure grain at a high rate, thanks

to an even wind distribution

Along with the fore-aft sieve movement

the Smart Sieve™ system creates a lateral

movement of pre-sieve and top-sieve

avoiding grain kernel concentration on the

low side. The kernels are thrown towards the

high side for even distribution on the sieves.

This way an even airflow through the sieves is

maintained for maximum cleaning efficiency.

DEALING WITH GRAIN, STRAW

AND CHAFF THE PROPER WAY.

Grain tanks holding 9000 litres on the

CSX7080 and the CSX7080 Laterale

and 7500 litres on the CSX7060 and

the CSX7060 Laterale give high levels

of grain handling efficiency. The high

unloading speed of 72 litres per second

supports the capacity of the CSX7000

range of combines. The in-line unloading

system is both efficient and practical,

making it easy to unload into trailers.

GRAIN, STRAW & RESIDUE MANAGEMENT.

Gentle processing

improves the straw quality

For farming operations that make use

of the straw, the gentle crop treatment

is most appreciated. The straw keeps

more of its structure and has good

characteristics for bedding.

Preparing for the next field operation

For proper tillage - especially in those

areas where minimum or zero tillage is

the practice - CSX7000 range models

have a highly efficient integrated straw

chopper. Four rows of serrated knives

together with the serrated counter knives

help ensure precise chopping for good

spreading over the full cutting width.

In the swath or on the stubble

A chaff spreader with two discs is

available and can spread the chaff onto

the stubble to the sides or direct it into

the straw chopper. In the latter case,

the chaff is spread with the chopped

straw or mixed with the swath for added

feeding value. Spreading avoids chaff

concentration that could disturb the

growth pattern of the next crop.

combines in a high performance category working with large cereal headers and maize headers.

These engines comply with Tier III emission standards, which regulate the amount of pollutants

that can be released into the environment. With their aggressive power rise, these engines are very

responsive: their component and settings characteristics provide a power curve with a steep power

increase in case of an rpm slow down caused by difficult crop or ground conditions.

DYNAMIC DRIVE.

Direct, simple and robust drivelines

CSX7000 range combines, are built on a sturdy frame. That

means with the same durability driven concept with which,

for more than 50 years, self-propelled combines have been

built in Zedelgem. For continued operator peace of mind,

dimensions and material specifications of shafts, variators,

pulleys and belts have a built-in reserve. The heavy-duty

power band that drives the threshing drum has a long life.

The hydrostatic transmission, linked to a three-speed

gearbox with in-line shifting, provides extended reliability.

Easy to reach cooling group

When the hinged rotary dust screen assembly is swung out, the

different elements of the cooling system are accessible. The main

radiator has three compartments: intercooler, engine water cooler

and hydrostatic oil cooler. Part of the hinged frame is the cooler

for the standard air-conditioning system.

Monobloc hydraulic valves

Increased reliability and virtually

eliminated leakages are the result

of the introduction of the new

hydraulic monobloc valves.

Precise “common rail” injection

The six-cylinder Iveco Cursor 9 engines

with a displacement of 8700cm3 feature

advanced Common Rail technology.

The system uses high injection pressure,

generated in an accumulator - the rail.

High fuel pressure produces a fine mist of

fuel that burns better and cleaner in the

combustion chamber. In addition

to reduced exhaust emissions, the

advantages are lower fuel and oil

consumption, better engine

performance and less noise.

What can be seen is paramount

The CSX7000 range combine operator is a confident operator because

the job in hand can be clearly seen. This is a major contributor to

alertness and top performance. The wide curved window has no

restrictions for a total view of the crop, the header and the stubble

behind the header. Through a window in the rear of the Discovery

Plus II cab the sample in the grain tank can be checked.

The information centre: IntelliView II™ monitor

Simple to use yet extremely valuable for the professional operator, the IntelliView II™

colour monitor provides all the information necessary for top performance. The large

screen permanently shows data concerning machine engagements, positions and rpm’s.

A range of other applications can be easily selected through the navigation buttons.

One of the latest additions to the operator information package is the “return indication”.

An optical sensor in the return elevator reads the relative amount of returns so the operator

can react and make adjustments for improved functioning if required.

CAB & COMFORT.

Ready for night work

CSX7000 range combines have the right

features to perform long working days. Four-drum

technology helps operation in difficult and damp

conditions and that extends the working hours.

To maintain the important all-round visibility when

working at night, CSX7000 range combines have

a full set of working lights as standard equipment,

and even more can be specified.

The working place: feeling fine

The cab environment is spacious and comfortable.

Air conditioning is standard equipment. To suit the

operator’s preferences the steering column is adjustable

in three ways and the standard air-suspended seat has

three adjustment ranges: height, fore and aft and seat

back angle. There is a standard passenger seat

and the mirrors have electrical adjustment.

Finger tip controls

Ideally and logically located, the

multi-function control lever lays in the

operator’s right hand. Also the switches

for the cutting, threshing and unloading

functions are in this armrest.

The remote concave adjustment and

the engine throttle control are also at

the operator’s fingertips. To avoid any

drive hesitation during field work, the

gear shifting is direct and simple

using an in-line box.

HEADERS.

Varifeed™ headers adapt to the crop

There is an optimum header configuration for any specific crop. For regular and smooth crop feeding

the ideal knife position depends on the crop height and density. CSX7000 range combines are designed

for high capacity in any crop and the Varifeed™ header ensures that the crop flow is right from the start.

The knife position on the Varifeed™ header has a fore-aft adjustment reach of 500mm. This adjustment

is made electro-hydraulically from the cab. The header bottom is closed in all knife positions, without the

need for filler plates. With the varying distance between knife and intake auger, the header reel plays a more

important role in crop guidance and feeding. It is hydraulically driven for increased flexibility and ample torque.

For added operator convenience, the Autofloat™ system is standard equipment on CSX7000 range combines.

Only New Holland maize headers match perfectly

A range of high performance New Holland maize headers,

matching the CSX7000 range's capacity, is available.

Rigid headers, or where road transport is an issue, flip-up

headers can be specified. The stalk rolls have four knives

for aggressive pulling down of any size of stalk and the

deck-plates are electrically adjustable from the cab, to adapt

to changing stalk and cob size. Integrated stalk choppers

are available: two knives per row unit help ensure thorough

and fine chopping of crop residue and superb spreading

of the chopped material for good decomposition.

Stalk chopping flexibility is maximised by the built-in

gearbox on each row unit. This means that each row

can be individually engaged or disengaged as necessary.

Operators of New Holland maize headers confirm that

they are “the best in class, including the choppers”.

For high field speeds:

Extra Capacity and High Capacity headers

For smooth crop guidance to the knife and further, the High-

Capacity header on all New Holland combines has a large

reel diameter and easy reel adjustments. The high knife

speed and the feeding auger with retractable fingers over

the full cutting width allow high field speed and help ensure

steady feeding. The configuration of the Extra-Capacity grain

header is adapted to heavy cereal crops: the knife position

is advanced by 15cm and the large “header feeding area”

copes perfectly with high crop volumes and long straw

crops. For added torque, the reel is driven hydraulically.

For even more operator convenience, the Autofloat™

system is standard equipment on the CSX7000 range.
