Correct shear values can be adjusted quick and safely for the relevant/applicable

REGISTERED DESIGN

Handpump unit in monoblock-design, available with all tow bars of standard

and versa type

Stainless steel covers for retraction springs provide safety in-line with

CE requirements (elimination of crushing danger for operator's hands)

and protect springs and handpump from ambient dirt. The compact

monoblock-design (pump, cylinder and tank in one compact unit) is

nearly maintenance-free.

to parking positions or for maintenance towing:

the J-TOW series tow bars allow an individual

confi guration of the required tow bar in accordance

with your own requirements. Built on an economical

base version, options such as a fl oating axle (lateral

fl exibility during coupling to the aircraft), revolving or

revolving/shock-absorbing tow eye, painting/livery in

customer colors or different types of wheels can be

TOW series – options & designs

The J-TOW series allows individual product confi gurations:

fl oating axle, revolving or revolving/shock-absorbing tow

eye, fi nish in customer-specifi c colors etc. Besides our

standard program, we have many more designs options

such as splittable tubes, fl y-away kits, special dimensions

and many others available on request.

Standard design

• task-oriented and economical base versions allow

safe ground operations with any aircraft type

• The hydraulically height-adjustable under-

carriage (models standard and versa) provides

ergonomic operation and easy handling with a

perfectly balanced tow bar

• Tow heads with shear pins and retaining pins

in accordance with OEM requirements provide

maximum safety and protection of the NLG against

overload

• Spare shear pins mounted on a pin-rack allow

safe and enduring serviceability of the tow bar

• Bolted components/assemblies (vs welded design)

allow the specifi c repair/exchange of individual

components hence reduce maintenance/repair costs

• The proven design of handpump/tank and

hydraulic cylinder in one unit (mono-block)

reduces maintenance requirements

• Optimized user safety with stainless steel covers in

accordance with CE requirements

INNOVATION: Solutions such as the

J-TOWversa3 provide the following advantages:

- Covering both, A320- and B737 family

(all versions on both families) with one single

tow head; switch from one to the other in

< 10 seconds

- new, multi-functional shear pin system

(registered design), allows the adjustment of

the correct shear value in a few seconds

without any tools, during winter operations

also when wearing gloves

- Result: increased economics and safety

using our adaptor, with even more aircraft types!

• Spare shear pins mounted on a pin-rack allow
