1 General The MTpro update can be downloaded and installed directly from Internet using the built-in update function (full MTpro installation, Internet connection and administrator privileges are required). Depending on the option settings MTpro can search automatically for updates. To run the update manually, invoke the command Check for updates… in MTpro’s help menu and follow the directions of the update wizard.

Moreover several new assembly instructions were added and others updated.
3 New layout designer contents and functions
3.1 Anti-aliasing for Layout Designer graphics Anti-aliasing minimizes the distortion artifacts known as aliasing, when repre-senting digital images. For instance in a lower resolution, diagonal lines or edges of a CAD model may be drawn as little steps. To switch anti-aliasing on, check the appropriate box in Extras -> Options -> View -> Antialiasing.
3.2 Invocation of product documentation from within Layout Designer
For each layout designer component, a catalog data sheet, assembly instruc-tion and spare parts drawing can be shown directly from within Layout De-

signer. Click on a component with the Ctrl+Alt key pressed to overlay a set of symbols. After a click on the symbol the corresponding document is shown.
Alternatively,select the component, press the right mouse button and choose the desired document type from the Selection menu.

3.3 Improvements with Basic Mechanical Elements
3.3.1 Cubic connectors and corner brackets Cubic connectors and corner brackets can now be rotated around the profile faces to achieve all possible mounting positions. The rotation can be achieved using handles or by setting the parts’ rotation angles in the properties menue.
3.3.2 Improved connection of profiles • The command Dock selection now also works reliably for profiles, inde-
pendent of their mounting position.

Further improvements were achieved with the following functions: • Performance when working with non-orthogonally docked profiles. • Switching of the profile orientation. • Automatic extension of the profile length.
3.4 Case lifter The electrical case lifter can be found in the MPS product catalog in section Workstation -> Accessories -> Material supply.
The case lifter can be configured with all mounted parts and accessories. The position of moveable parts can be adjusted.

3.5 Update of all assemblies with new, energy saving drive units
In quite a number of driven transfer system units the former drives have been replaced by new, energy saving models. A list of all affected components can be found in the Annex.
MTpro considers different motor and gear box sizes now, depending on the selected values for frequency and velocity.
3.6 Extension of the template library for Training Systems
The Layout Designer template library for Training Systems has been supple-mented with swivel robot BR600 and the swivel robot housing. The housing can be docked with the robot cage and vice versa.

4 Other functions
4.1 Filtering for valid motor-gear combinations in spare parts lists
Spare parts lists can be filtered with regard to appropriate combinations of motors and gears. Select a motor or gear in a spare parts list. Then press the right mouse button and select the Filter matching spare parts command. Only gears matching the selected motor or motors matching the selected gear will now be listed in the spare parts list. A filter symbol in the lower right corner indicates that the list has been filtered. To cancel filtering invoke the Filter matching spare parts command once again.

4.2 Export order lists for eShop upload Apart from the established online connection, MTpro now offers to save order lists in a file appropriate for the upload to Rexroth’s eShop basket. In an order list, select all rows that shall be exported. Press Ctrl-A on the key-board to select all rows. Then press the right mouse button or click on the Or-der list menu to run the command Export -> eShop Upload-order list…
The program subsequently counts identical parts, calculates order quantities and rounds up quantities to package sizes. In the end a file Save dialog ap-pears. Enter a file name and save the file with extension *.xml in a folder of your choice. In the Rexroth eShop toolbar there is a hyperlink to the Batch Order Upload page.
On the upload page press the button Open file… and select the previously saved XML file. Finally, click on Upload to send the contents into the shopping basket. Please note, that the file upload may take some time, depending on the num-ber and complexity of uploaded items.
