With constantly variable valve timing and direct-injection pressures of up to 200 bars, these turbo-charged four-cylinder petrol engines deliver remarkable driveability throughout the rev range. The THP 210 version adds sequential triple injection,a twin-scroll fixed geometry turbo-charger, diamond-like coatings (DLC) on key components and

graphite-coated pistons to ensure thrilling performance.

BlueHDi diesel technology leads the way in meeting and exceeding the latest Euro 6 emissions standard. The Selective Catalytic Reduction (SCR) module is the most effective method available for the treatment of harmful Nitrogen Oxide (NOx) emissions. Working in conjunction with the particulate filter (DPF), diesel engine emissions are dramatically reduced, cutting not only CO2, but the other harmful by-products of

diesel combustion.

PLV (Pre-loaded Linear Valve) shock absorber technology limits sudden changes in damping force to produce a more linear damping curve, allowing New DS 5 to soak up bumps and dips

in the road more effectively.

Comprising as many as 134 individual LED modules and powerful Xenon high-intensity discharge bulbs, DS LED Vision provides a broad beam that’s 51% more powerful on dipped beam and 18% on main beam, compared with halogen lights. The light spectrum is close to that of natural light, illuminating the road ahead clearly and reducing eye strain. Thanks to energy-saving LED modules, power consumption is reduced by 38%, which in turn improves fuel economy and emissions. Scrolling indicators provide a highly visible turn signal with a

distinctive and contemporary lighting effect.

DS Connect Box provides peace of mind that in the event of an emergency, anywhere in Europe, 24 hours a day, 7 days a week, help is always at hand. In the event of a collision severe enough to deploy the vehicle airbags or the seat belt pretensioners, the vehicle automatically makes an emergency call on behalf of the driver. Precise location information is also sent to the call centre so the appropriate emergency service

can be dispatched quickly.

COMPANY CAR BENEFIT-IN-KIND TAXATION CHARGESThe Company Car Benefit-In-Kind Taxation charge is based upon the type of fuel used, and the level of CO2 emissions, measured in grams per kilometre (g/km). The table opposite shows the percentage of the car’s list price to be taxed (P11D value†).

For example, a New DS 3 PureTech 110 S&S manual Elegance has a CO2 emissions figure of 100g/km (petrol) and the P11D figure of £16,340. The BIK value would therefore be 17% x £16,340 = £2,777.80 (equivalent to £46.30 pcm for a 20% rate tax payer).

ELECT 4Elect 4 is an alternative way to enjoy a new DS without the cost of ownership. Instead of owning the car, you rent it for a fixed period and then return it to your local dealer where you can exchange it for a brand new one. You set your preferred contract terms and anticipated annual mileage. With leasing which can be arranged for a period up to 4 years, Elect 4 offers you an alternative method of funding your new DS. One initial bulk advance rental will be required. This is between 14%-16% of the ‘On the Road Recommended Retail Price’ plus any advance rental contribution from DS UK. Excess mileage charges may apply if the agreed annual mileage is exceeded. DS Automobiles contribution on selected models only. Payment of the optional final rental extends the rental term (this does not transfer title of the vehicle) & requires an annual rental equivalent to one month’s rental. 3 YEAR’S DS ROADSIDE ASSISTANCEIn response to a free telephone call in the UK, DS Assistance brings rapid expert roadside assistance to you in an emergency. It comes free of charge for three years, from date of vehicle registration, and operates 24 hours a day in all parts of the UK and Europe. Services include nationwide recovery for both car and passengers, a home call service, replacement vehicle, hotel accommodation and vehicle storage if required. You can also purchase additional DS Assistance via your local DS dealer at any time.
