***** With reference to the letter cited above, it is proposed to conduct General

Departmental competitive Examination in the category of Junior Clerk -Cum-Typist Pay Matrix Level-2 (GP Rs. 1900/-) in Southern Railway through General Departmental Competitive Examination (GDCE) vide letter under reference.is enclosed herewith. The GDCE will be conducted by Railway Recruitment Cell, Chennai. ·

The eligible and volunteering employees should send their application duly filled in & Certified by Supervisory Officials in the prescribed format directly to RRC/Chennai, by ordinary post or in person to the address mentioned in the enclosed notification, on or before 23.04.2018at17.00 hrs. It is proposed to fill up 25% of the net Direct Recruitment Quota vacancies in the category of Junior Clerk-cum-Typist {Pay Matrix Level 2 (GP.Ra.1900/-)} in Southern Railway through General Departmental Competitive Examination (GDCE).

2. The details of posts in the category of Junior Clerk-cum-Typist for which GDCE is to be conducted is as under:

b) The allotment of division of the selected employees will be at the discretion of the Administration, subject to availability of GDCE quota vacancies. The applicants cannot claim for posting as per their choice.

8. GDCE for the post of Junior Clerk cum Typist wlll conaist of Written/Onllne examination, Typing skill test, verification of certificates and medical examination. The panel will be formed strictly in the order of merit. The standard of the written examination under GDCE shall be that prescribed for Direct Recruitment Quota on open competition for this post.

9. Only those candidates who secure the requisite qualifying marks In the written examination are eligible to be empanelled for appointment as Junior Clerk-cum-Typist on the basis of. the marks obtained in the written/Online examination, They should also be fit in the prescrrbed Medical Classification of CEE-ONE for Junior Clerk-cum-Typist before they are appointed.

10. The final empanelment for the vacancies notified would be as per eligibility & merit.

11 . This notification may be given wide publicity by circulating to each and every station and depot of Divisions/units and pasting on Notice Boards at prominent places.
