Keeping up with errands and other day-to-day tasks can become increasingly difficult with age and a decline in health. Anyone looking to find help for their loved ones in those areas and more should contact From The Heart Home Care, which has served clients across Connecti-cut since 2013.

“We provide companion/homemaker, personal care assistance, live-ins and super-vised adult family living,” owner Eva Puzio said.

A companion/homemaker will take care of basic tasks during the day such as meal prepara-tion, walking, reading, house-

keeping and errands, while a personal care assistant takes the next step by helping with per-sonal hygiene, dressing, feeding, bathing, transportation and doc-tor’s visits. From the Heart also provides specialty care to clients suffering from more severe ill-nesses such as cancer, stroke, dementia, Alzheimer’s, ALS and other brain injuries.

Interested customers can apply online or call their office. After receiving general informa-tion on From the Heart’s ser-vices, customers will meet with a representative to discuss exactly what they are looking for and From the Heart will try to match the person in need of care with several caregivers to choose from.

Matching patients with care-givers that are not only qualified to satisfy their needs, but get along with each other person-ally is especially important to From the Heart. They understand the difference made by build-ing meaningful relationships between two people who will spend a great deal of time together. People who get along

tend to communicate bet-ter, which leads to better care because there is strong mutual understanding of what the patient needs.

The company offers support for Title 19 recipients through the state and helps family mem-bers earn tax free stipends to work as caregivers for their loved ones through an adult family liv-ing program.
