To accomplish successful mentoring sessions, we need to clearly define the role of the mentor and the mentee, understand the Nevada Promise Scholarship requirements and learn about the CSN college admissions and financial aid processes. To complete the mentor training the mentor must provide their Promise Identification Number. This unique identification number is assigned to the mentor at the time the application is submitted. Online Training: The training consists of short videos that can be viewed at the mentor’s own pace. After the mentor reviews each module, they will be asked to take a short quiz and provide an electronic verification of training. The mentor will need to provide their Promise Identification Number to complete the final portion of the training. To access the online training, please visit: www.csn.edu/promise-mentor-training. In-Person Training: To register for in-person training please visit www.csn.edu/promise-mentor. Mentors can RSVP directly from the event calendar for future training dates. The sessions will take place at one of the CSN campuses and will last about 1.5 hours. Once mentors have completed the training, they will receive an email about additional forms that are required to complete the registration and verification process.
