In FY2004, Networking and Computing Technologies Division has done great things
Migrated the entire Laboratory to Exchange/Outlook for email and calendar ahead of schedule (over 4,500 users)
Negotiated labwide Licenses for Red Hat Linux and Mathematica
Implemented a terminal server for improved access to business systems for non-Windows users
Improved cellphone coverage and implemented cellphone stipend program
• Recast the wireless network for the entire laboratory
Completed Certification and Accreditation of ORNL’s IT infrastructure
Implemented New Email & CalendarInfrastructure
Implemented New Site-wide services
Improved Voice & Data Networks

Cyber vulnerabilities are efficiently identified, reported, and resolved and we are designing new cyber solutions
• New system vulnerabilities are regularly identified by vendors
• ORNL Systems are tested for new vulnerabilities
• System administrators fix or reconfigure systems to resolve vulnerabilities

•Developing secure solutions for remote and mobile users with
•one time tokens
