The SkyLIGHT Director’s Manager Module provides centralized control, reporting, and interfaces for Accedian V-NID™ Performance Actuators deployed throughout a network.

Verify, Validate, Visualize The SkyLIGHT performance assurance platform provides a comprehensive solution for verifying network SLA conformance on a granular and continuous basis. By utilizing standards-based reflectors such as ETH-OAM or TWAMP integrated into the network components, and combining Accedian patented measurement techniques, the Manager Module enables one-way monitoring of network performance with high accuracy without the need for external synchronization.

SkyLIGHT Director – Manager Module As the main controller unit in the V-NID Actuator application performance and SLA monitoring suite, the Manager supervises and monitors application performance in multiple networks. The Manager controls the V-NID Actuators, service OAM sessions, and SLAs in its supervision domain. It conducts performance measurement analysis and alarm filtering, as well as report generation. The Manager provides interfaces for external management systems to retrieve result data and alarm notifications: • Notifications via Accedian’s SNMP Trap MIB • Data Export via XML/HTTPS interface • REST based interfaces for SOAM session creation and control • Web Reporting, standalone GUI client for off-line reporting • Integration into SevOne Accedian Edition Reporting platform

Deployed as a hardware appliance, the Manager is easily accessed and configured by using the built-in Command Line Interface (CLI) or by using the SkyLIGHT Analyzer client.

Open Northbound API Performance statistics that are measured, collected, summarized and correlated by the V-NID Actuator are made available via the Accedian Analyzer GUI as well as through a M2M XML interface carried over HTTP(s). Over 100 unique Key Performance Indicators (KPIs) and application performance data are instantly available for reporting or troubleshooting. This solution provides accurate network performance data and concrete proof that SLAs are being met.
