NetApp Mailbox disk
So called "mailbox disk" is used for clustering interconnection
and communicationbetween two cluster "heads".
"Mailbox disk" it's a special area at a two of disk (by default
one data and oneparity, or one parity and one dparity disks), and
usually resides at a rst aggregate.
!t's consume a ery small amount of space (around #$ or two)
%ctuallly, it's &ust a ag area, one "head" can raise the ag
"!'m alie *erything is+#" for another one, partner "head", and
iceersa. !t looks like emailing betweenheads, it's a reason why
they calling it "mailbox".
o identify the mailbox disk-
ogin to /0 1ri set adanced /0 cf monitor all
#now issue with mailbox disk-
2hen we perform disk rmware upgrade for all disk, these disk in
most cases wouldnot be upgraded.
Solution:
1erform single disk upgrade for mailbox disk.
3opy downloaded fw to etc4disk5fw on both,(clustered),monitor
console for diskupgrade process.
