    Offensive Player of the Week

    Notes: Amherst junior running back Eric Bunker (Tops eld, Mass.) totaled 103 yards of offense and ran for a touchdown in the Lord Jeffs 44-0 victory againstBates. In addition to catching a pass for seven yards, Bunker ran the ball 17 times for 96 yards (5.6 per carry) with a long of 22 yards. His 3-yard touchdown runwere the only points scored in the third quarter. Sophomore ILB Matt Pieterse (Spring eld, Mass.) tied for the team lead in tackles with 11 (four solo), as he led adefense that forced four fumbles and recovered three while holding the Bobcats to only 143 yards of total offense, eight rst downs, and an 0-for-2 showing in thered zone... Bates junior OLB Brett McAllister (Exeter, N.H.) registered game-highs in tackles (13) and solo tackles (nine) in Saturdays 44-0 setback at Amherst.Freshman RB Shawn Doherty (Mans eld, Mass.) caught four passes for 30 yards and also returned two kickoffs, averaging 33.0 yards per return... Bowdoinquarterback R.J. Shea (Barrington, R.I.) threw for 316 yards and two touchdowns in his rst career start on Saturday, a 33-15 loss at Williams. Receivers Bren-dan Garner (Swampscott, Mass.) and Pat Noone (North Attleboro, Mass.) made 10 catches apiece in the setback. Noone raised his career receptions total to93 - two shy of the program record. Freshman LB Grif n Cardew (Ipswich, Mass.) led the Polar Bears on the other side of the ball with 10 tackles, including onefor a loss... Colby senior WR Patrick Burns had seven catches for 107 yards, both team-highs, in the Mules 33-6 loss at Trinity. Tom Duffy had a game-high 12tackles... Hamilton junior RB Dylan Isenberg (Voorhees, N.J.) ran for a career-high 136 yards on 29 carries (4.7 per carry) on Saturday at Tufts. The performancewas the most rushing yards by a Continental player since 2004. Senior defensive lineman Burke St. John (Chappaqua, N.Y.) recorded eight tackles, includingtwo for a loss, and recovered a Tufts fumble. St. John led a defensive unit that allowed 67 rushing yards on 35 attempts (1.9 per attempt). Senior K/P GeorgeTaylor (Pleasantville, N.Y.) averaged 40.3 yards on seven punts and converted his lone eld goal attempt of 28 yards with 31 seconds left in the rst half. Hepinned three of his seven punts inside the 20, and had a long of 65 yards... Middlebury senior Andrew Plumley (Burlington, Vt.) earned 125 yards of total offensein a 24-21 victory over Wesleyan, rushing for 84 yards. He also had a nine-yard touchdown reception. Senior LB Andrew Durfee (Franklin Lakes, N.J.) madenine tackles in the game, including two for lost yardage. He also had a sack and an interception, which he returned 36 yards... Trinity senior tight end Chris Hunt(Westford, Mass.) made ve catches for 108 yards, including a touchdown reception, in the Bantams 33-6 win over Colby. Freshman RB Ben Crick (Middlebury,Conn.) ran the ball 17 times for 87 yards (5.1 per carry), all in the rst half. He scored a touchdown and caught one pass for nine yards. Junior NT Matt Delconte(Berlin, Conn.) made a team-high seven tackles, including three tackles for a loss, and added an interception. The Bantam defense, anchored by its defensiveline, held Colby to 49 rushing yards on 29 attempts (1.7 per attempt) and three sacks... Tufts senior QB Anthony Fucillo (Winthrop, Mass.), who missed the entire2009 season with an injury, passed for 255 yards and two touchdowns in his return for the Jumbos on Saturday, a 21-10 win over Hamilton. His touchdowntosses went for 52 yards and two yards. Sophomore free safety Sam Diss (Ridgewood, N.J.) intercepted a pass and returned it 74 yards for a touchdown, givingthe Jumbos a 14-0 lead in the second quarter. He also had two tackles for a loss of six yards among his ve stops, and added a pass break-up. Diss returnedtwo kickoffs 54 yards, as his 128 all-purpose yards led the Jumbos. Senior punt returner Greg Stewart (Wilmington, Mass.) averaged 15.3 yards per return overthree returns with a long of 33 yards... Wesleyan running backs Shea Dwyer (Marlborough, Conn.) and Vince Miller (Pittsburgh, Pa.) became the rst tandem ofCardinal running backs to each surpass 100 rushing yards in the same game since 1997. Dwyer had 16 carries for 119 yards (7.4 per carry) with a touchdownwhile Miller recorded 114 yards on 17 attempts (6.7 per carry) with two scores in a 24-21 setback at Middlebury.

    Ryan Lupo, Williams (Senior, RB - Princeton Jct., N.J.)Lupo was the Ephs go-to-guy in Saturdays33-15, season-opening victory over Bowdoin,as he played a part in 33 of Williams 76 offen-sive plays with 185 yards of total offense andtwo touchdowns. He carried the ball 31 times,racking up 167 yards (5.4 per carry) with a longrush of 18, and had two receptions for 18 yards.

    His rst TD rush of six yards capped an 11-play,70-yard drive late in the second quarter, whilehis second TD came on a 4-yard rush with 34seconds to play in the game.

    Defensive Co-Players of the WeekJustin Freres, Wesleyan (Senior, DB - Santa Barbara, Calif.)Freres led the Cardinal defense with 14 tackles (10solo) in a 24-21 loss at Middlebury. He also madea key end-zone interception with 10 minutes left inthe game. The pick led to a 16-play, 80-yard scoringdrive which brought Wesleyan within one score.

    Special Teams Player of the WeekMatt Rawson, Amherst (Junior, P/K - Bethesda, Md.)Rawson was 2-for-2 on eld goal attempts,5-for-5 on point-after-touchdown kicks, andaveraged 35.2 yards per punt during theLord Jeffs 44-0 win over Bates on Saturday.Rawsons 25- and 33-yard eld goals bothcame in the rst quarter to help Amherst takea 20-0 lead. Of his four punts, one landedinside the Bobcats 20-yard line.

    Pat Barren, Williams (Senior, LB/DB - Worthington, Ohio)Barren made seven tackles (four solo), two of whichwere for a loss of seven yards, forced and recovereda fumble, had two pass break-ups and returned aninterception 53 yards for a touchdown with 5:29 to playin the third in the Ephs 33-15 win over Bowdoin.
