Functions of Neighborhood Greenways
• Family friendly routes
• Neighborhood networks that link
community amenities such as parks,
schools, libraries, and shopping areas
• Provide connections to regional trails
such as the Burke Gilman Trail
• Facilities that are parallel
to higher volume arterials
that allow bicyclists to make
connections between
neighborhoods on lower
speed, lower volume streets
