The BAI created, and maintains, the National Moot Court Rankings. The rankings consist of results from all national moot court competitions. Points for the rankings are allocated based on the number of teams in a particular competition, top place finishes, best brief, and best speaker. The top 16 moot court programs each year are invited to compete in the BAI’s Hunton Andrews Kurth Moot Court National Championship to determine the “best of the best.”

The BAI offers advocacy courses that cover the entire dispute resolution continuum, including several specialty courses like Storytelling, Advocacy Survey, and International Arbitration Advocacy. The courses are taught by practicing attorneys and judges. Here is a list of the advocacy courses offered in 2018-19:

The American Bar Association published its 2nd Competitions Champion Top Ten List in May 2019. The ABA compiles points from its 4 nationally-recognized student competitions.

As a reflection of the BAI’s broad-based advocacy curriculum and its success in the ABA competitions, the University of Houston Law Center ranked #5 on the 2018-19 Top Ten List.
