In the three major assessment categories of contributing, listening and facilitating group problem solving his overall rating was a 2.42 out of 3, and as you know we like to have our team leaders score a 3 out of 3 to become a team leader. Kyle’s highest score was in the contributing category which didn’t come to a surprise to me because I have witnessed first-hand how well Kyle offers ideas and suggestions to the team. His mean score was 2.80 (range is 2-3), which is well above the OK area. I have no doubt that this score will rise to a perfect score because of his ability to meet all deadlines and attend all the meetings. His next top score was in facilitating group problem solving with a mean score of 2.18 (range is (0 to 3), which is also above the OK area. I do believe Kyle does well with organizing group discussion and staying on topic. He did receive a score of zero from a peer which causes me some concern but I know he could improve this by trying to encourage his peer’s for their alternative suggestions. The listening category is Kyle’s lowest score with a mean of 1.96 (range is 0 to 3), which is below the OK area. This is his biggest area of improvement because I believe he could become a better listener if he chose to let other members share more of their ideas and resist interrupting them. He did also receive a score of zero from a peer in this category as well. I am meeting with Kyle today to give him the feedback from his evaluations so he can better understand his areas for improvement. In addition, I want to assign him more projects where he will have more opportunities to become a better team player which I believe will get him first in line for the next open assignment. Thank you Inez for trusting my opinion in the decision. I hope you have a great afternoon. Whitney Parks Team Leader

Indez,

Based on Kyle Houstin’s 15 team member’s evaluations, I don’t believe at this time he is ready to

become a team leader in Dallas Office. In the three major assessment categories of contributing,

listening and facilitating group problem solving his overall rating was a 2.42 out of 3, and as you know

we like to have our team leaders score a 3 out of 3 to become a team leader.

Kyle’s highest score was in the contributing category which didn’t come to a surprise to me because I

have witnessed first-hand how well Kyle offers ideas and suggestions to the team. His mean score was

2.80 (range is 2-3), which is well above the OK area. I have no doubt that this score will rise to a perfect

score because of his ability to meet all deadlines and attend all the meetings.

His next top score was in facilitating group problem solving with a mean score of 2.18 (range is (0 to 3),

which is also above the OK area. I do believe Kyle does well with organizing group discussion and staying

on topic. He did receive a score of zero from a peer which causes me some concern but I know he could

improve this by trying to encourage his peer’s for their alternative suggestions.

The listening category is Kyle’s lowest score with a mean of 1.96 (range is 0 to 3), which is below the OK

area. This is his biggest area of improvement because I believe he could become a better listener if he

chose to let other members share more of their ideas and resist interrupting them. He did also receive a

score of zero from a peer in this category as well.

I am meeting with Kyle today to give him the feedback from his evaluations so he can better understand

his areas for improvement. In addition, I want to assign him more projects where he will have more

opportunities to become a better team player which I believe will get him first in line for the next open

assignment.

Thank you Inez for trusting my opinion in the decision. I hope you have a great afternoon.
