New NEBOSHSyllabus

The NEBOSH National GeneralCertificates have been revised toinclude an updated syllabus to teachlearners about health and safety in themodern workplace. Which means thenew NEBOSH syllabus now representsthe role of a real-life health and safetyprofessional.

What has changed within the course? The course is now divided into 2 units NG1 &NG2. The units will now reflect more modernhealth and Safety practices for you to applywithin your workplace more effectively.

Why has NEBOSH changed the format?NEBOSH have listened to what businessessaid they needed for those responsible forhealth and safety within their organisation todo and know and have streamlined it intonew content that represents the role of areal-life health and safety professional.

They have also listened to their learners andhave updated the language to make it easierfor people to understand. The structure hasalso been modified so there’s now lessemphasis on exams and a bigger focus onpractical application. The new specificationnow spans only 2 units:NG1/IG1 – Management of health and safetyNG2/IG2 – Risk assessment

What if you have already passed?Once you have passed your NEBOSHCertificate you will be pleased to know itcannot be retracted and will still be relevantfor health and safety job applications.

The NEBOSH National GeneralCertificates have been revised toinclude an updated syllabus to teachlearners about health and safety in themodern workplace. Which means thenew NEBOSH syllabus now representsthe role of a real-life health and safetyprofessional.

What has changed within the course? The course is now divided into 2 units NG1 &NG2. The units will now reflect more modernhealth and Safety practices for you to applywithin your workplace more effectively.

Why has NEBOSH changed the format?NEBOSH have listened to what businessessaid they needed for those responsible forhealth and safety within their organisation todo and know and have streamlined it intonew content that represents the role of areal-life health and safety professional.

They have also listened to their learners andhave updated the language to make it easierfor people to understand. The structure hasalso been modified so there’s now lessemphasis on exams and a bigger focus onpractical application. The new specificationnow spans only 2 units:NG1/IG1 – Management of health and safetyNG2/IG2 – Risk assessment

What if you have already passed?Once you have passed your NEBOSHCertificate you will be pleased to know itcannot be retracted and will still be relevantfor health and safety job applications.
