The integrated data network of the National Power Grid adopts a 3-layer architecture of national office - regional office - provincial office. The core nodes are NE40E-8s, the backbone nodes are NE20E-8s, and the access nodes are NE20-8s. Some subordinate units also deploy access nodes.

The backbone links are 2.5G POS links. The links between the national office, regional offices, and provincial offices are GE or 155M POS links. The offices in immediate cities are connected to the regional offices through 100M FE uplinks or connected to the national office through N*E1 uplinks.

The entire network adopts a semi-full-mesh or full-mesh architecture and the MPLS technology to eliminate single-point failure on the backbone links.

Customer Value

This solution provides access to the integrated data service for users of the National Power Grid and provides MAN internetworking for the integrated data service on the network layer.

QoS is deployed on the entire network and the device and link reliability design is adopted, which paves a way for new services such as video and voice services.

The entire network has the N-1 protection capability.

Huawei NE80Es function as core devices of railway bureaus and

NE40Es aggregates services of railway stations. The NE20E in each

station is responsible for integrated service access and isolation, and is

connected to the newly deployed Ethernet switch through the fiber so

that it connects to the local data network.

In Zhengzhou station, the device NMS and VPN NMS are deployed,

providing configuration management, performance management, fault

management, and security management. The VPN NMS provides VPN

configuration and monitoring and graphical management.

reliability design and the MPLS VPN technology, and provides strong

end-to-end QoS capabilities and perfect IP network operation and
