At the end of 30 minutes of nurse-patient interaction and intervention, the patient will:

Show increase confidence in using and maintaining the crutches

Have an understanding about the use of a four point crutches

Demonstrate the proper usage of the four – point legged crutches

Explain the use of crutches after the repair of the fractured site

Discuss the proper use and maintenance of the crutches

Teach the client the proper ambulatory when using the four – point legged crutch

Demonstrate the proper ambulatory when using the four-point legged crutches.

For them to have knowledge on what is the use of these crutches

For them to have the knowledge on how to use the crutches
