NBSC hosts the Ist Business Plan Meet of Faculty Members of all the

Training Establishments on 15 – 16 September 2017

1060 0 The Ist Business Plan Meet of Faculty Members of all the Training Establishments was

organised in NBSC, Lucknow on 15 and 16 September 2017. The Two-day Meet was

attended by the Principal, NBSC ; Director, BIRD ; Vice Principal, NBSC ; JDs of BIRD,

Lucknow, Bolpur and Mangalore Centres besides 37 FMs from all the four TEs. The

programme was inaugurated by Shri P C Chaudhri, Chief General Manager, HRMD.

Besides various presentations and reviewing various items of works being done by the

respective TEs, there were guest lectures on subjects like “Evidence based research”,

“Linking FPOs with commodity exchanges”, HR sessions on Productivity and Trainer

to Facilitator. Open House discussion was also held on the progress made in

digitization and effectiveness of learning methods by various TEs.

Shri H R Dave, DMD had a lengthy interaction with the FMs on 16th September 2017

and he advised all the TEs to take up the issue of Producers’ organization on a mission

mode. He also advised the TEs to expedite the process of e-learning, considering

capacity building of children of farmers to take up improved agriculture practices

besides other important issues like climate change.

The Meet has drawn up an Action plan for the TEs. The Meet ended with vote of thanks

from the hosts as also from other TEs.
