200 - Fixing decking210 Structure Check that the structure is in a suitable state to receive the decking before commencing fixing.
Subcontractor must confirm acceptance to Main Contractor and CA.
230 Isolating tape Of a type recommended for the purpose by decking manufacturer. Apply to interfaces betweendissimilar metals which would otherwise be in contact.
240 Fire resisting fillers Provided by ArcelorMittal Construction to accurately match decking profile. Length of fillers are equal towidth of supports unless specified otherwise. Fill every profile above specified supports, bonding intoposition with adhesive recommended by ArcelorMittal Construction.
260 Fixing decking Cut sheets to give clean, true lines with no distortion and without damage to any protective coating.Remove burrs and any lubricant. Cut openings in sheets for outlets, vent pipes, flues, etc.to the minimumsize necessary and at locations of minimum stress in service. Reinforce edges of openings with stiffeningpatch, pressed steel angles or structural trimmers depending on size of opening. Drill all holes. Remove alldrilling swarf, dust and any other foreign matter before placing any membranes or insulation. Protectsheets during fixing and up to Practical Completion against mechanical damage, corrosion anddisfigurement. Rectify any defects as quickly as possible to minimise damage and nuisance. Placetemporary support props on suitable base supports to spacing required by design. Ensure props are tight
to u/s of decking but not over tightened so as to deform bottom trough of deck and cross brace if required.

280 Attachment Self-drilling, self-tapping screws anti-corrosion coated according to manufacturer's recommendations,or HILTI ENP2 shot fired nails. Fix decking to every support through trough of profile. The number offasteners per trough per support is to be determined by analysis of out of plane and in plane loads againstselected fastener capacity. Provide support to corrugations at periphery including galvanised steel supportcomponents off edge beams as necessary.
282 Attachment The method of attachment of the metal profiled sheet decking floor and accessories must be sufficientto resist the wind loads applied to the floor before pouring the concrete in accordance withBS EN1991-1-4:2005 & A1:2010
290 Cold formed Material: Galvanised steel thickness/gauge: 1.2mm for depths up to 110mm; 1.5mm for depths between120mm & 140mm & 2.0mm for depths greater than 150mm. Finish/Colour to match steel decking profile.
Workmanship as section Z11.
Fix to decking floor support with blind rivets or stitcher screws generally at 300mm centres.
