Important!

● To prevent loss of water resistanceand/or damage due to impact, be sureto push the crown in to its normalposition after you are finished using it.

● When pushing the crown back in, takecare not to apply too much force.

After pulling out the crown to the first or secondclick, rotating it quickly in succession in eitherdirection will start a fast forward or fast reverseoperation. While a fast forward operation is inprogress, quickly rotating the crown insuccession again will increase the speed evenfurther.● Stopping Fast Forward/Fast ReverseRotate the crown in the direction opposite thatof the ongoing operation or press any button.

Note

● If you do not perform any operation forabout two minutes after pulling out thecrown, crown operations willautomatically become disabled. If thathappens, push the crown back in andthen pull it out again.

● Function Hand and Day IndicatorMovement

Changing the day setting of the watch will alsocause the function hand to move.

● Day● It can take anywhere from about 50 seconds

to about 3 minutes and 20 seconds for theday indicator to change after timekeepingreaches midnight. At this time, the functionhand moves as the day indicator changes.

● The day may not be indicated correctlywhile the watch’s crown is pulled out.

Solar ChargingThis watch runs on power supplied from arechargeable (secondary) battery that ischarged by a solar panel. The solar panel isintegrated into the face of the watch, andpower is generated whenever the face isexposed to light.

● Charging the WatchWhen you are not wearing the watch, put it ina location where it is exposed to bright light.

While you are wearing the watch, make surethat its face (solar panel) is not blocked fromthe light by the sleeve of your clothing. Powergeneration efficiency is reduced even whenthe face of the watch is blocked only partially.

● Depending on light intensity and localconditions, the watch may become hotto the touch when exposed to light forcharging. Take care to avoid burninjury after charging. Also, avoidcharging the watch under high-temperature conditions like the onesdescribed below.ーOn the dashboard of a vehicle

● Exposing the watch face to light afterthe battery goes dead will cause thesecond hand to revolvecounterclockwise until it stops atsecond 57. This indicates charginghas started.

● Power SavingLeaving the watch in a dark location for aboutone hour between the hours of 10 p.m. and5:50 a.m. will cause the second hand to stop,and the watch to enter Level 1 power saving.If the watch is left in this condition for six orseven days, all hands will stop and the watchwill enter Level 2 power saving.Level 1 :Basic timekeeping functions are operational.Level 2 :Only the day indicator is operational.

Using Mobile Link witha Mobile Phone

While there is a Bluetooth connectionbetween the watch and phone, the watch timesetting is adjusted automatically. You can alsochange the watch’s other settings.

C Pair the watch with a phone.Before you can use the watch in combinationwith a phone, you first need to pair them.

1. Move the phone to be paired with close to(within one meter of) the watch.

2. Y Tap the “EDIFICE Connected” icon.3. Y Perform the operation shown on the

screen of the phone to be paired with.● If a pairing prompt message appears,

perform the operation shown on thephone screen.

● About two seconds after pairing starts,the second hand will point to [R]. Whenpairing is complete, the second handwill move to e.

● The first time you start up EDIFICEConnected, a message will appear onyour phone asking if you want toenable location informationacquisition. Configure settings to allowbackground use of locationinformation.

Auto Time AdjustmentThe watch will connect with a phone at presettimes each day and adjust its time settings.● Using Auto AdjustYour watch adjusts its time setting four timesa day according to a preset schedule. If youleave the watch in the Calendar Mode, it willperform the adjustment operationautomatically as you go about your daily life,without any operation required by you.

Alignment● If there is a World Time City specified

with EDIFICE Connected, its time willalso be adjusted automatically.

● The watch will connect with the phoneand perform auto time adjustment ataround 12:30 a.m., 6:30 a.m., 12:30p.m. and 6:30 p.m. The connection isautomatically terminated after autotime adjustment is complete.

● Triggering Immediate Time AdjustmentThe watch’s time setting will be adjustedautomatically whenever you establish aconnection between the watch and a phone.Whenever you want to adjust the watch’s timesetting based on your phone's time, performthe procedure below to connect with a phone.

1. Move the phone close to (within one meterof) the watch.

Viewing Stopwatch DataThis section explains how to send lap times(up to 200 records) that are stored in watchmemory, as well as other data to your phonefor viewing with EDIFICE Connected.

● Sending Stopwatch Data to a PhoneUse the procedure below to send data fromthe watch to a phone.

1. Y Tap the “EDIFICE Connected” icon.2. X Hold down (B) for at least two seconds

until the second hand points to [R] twice.This establishes a connection betweenthe watch and phone.

3. Y Perform the operation shown on thephone screen to transfer data measuredby the watch to the phone.After data transfer is complete, a list of themeasurement data will appear on thephone display.● Tapping a stopwatch data item displays

Specifying a World Time City with EDIFICEConnected causes the watch’s World TimeCity to change accordingly. The standardtime/summer time setting of the World Timewill be adjusted automatically without anywatch operation required by you.

The watch switches between standardtime and summer time automatically.

● “OFF”The watch always indicates standardtime.

● “ON”The watch always indicates summertime.

Note

● While the summer time setting is“Auto”, the watch will switch betweenstandard time and summer timeautomatically. You do not need toswitch between standard time andsummer time manually. Even if you arein an area that does not observesummer time, you can leave thewatch’s summer time setting as “Auto”.

● Changing the time setting manuallywith a watch operation will cancel autostandard time/summer time switching.

● EDIFICE Connected screen showsinformation about summer timeperiods.

Adjusting Hand and DayIndicator Alignment

If the hands and/or date indicator are out ofalignment even though auto time adjustmentis being performed, use EDIFICE Connectedto adjust them.



3. Y Perform the operation shown on thephone screen to correct hand and dayindicator alignment.

Phone FinderYou can use phone finder to trigger a tone onthe phone to make it easy to find. The tone isforced to sound even if the phone is in vibratemode.

● Do not use this function in areas wherephone call tones are restricted.

● The tone sounds at a high volume. Donot use this function when listening tophone output over earphones.

1. X If the watch is connected with a phone,press any button to terminate theconnection.This will cause the watch to enter theCalendar Mode.

Configuring Watch SettingsYou can use EDIFICE Connected to specifythe amount of time until the Bluetoothconnection is automatically terminated, and toconfigure other settings.

want to connect with, refer to the informationbelow and pair them.

1. Move the phone close to (within one meterof) the watch.

2. X Hold down (B) for at least two secondsuntil the second hand points to [R] twice.This establishes a connection betweenthe watch and phone.

Important!

● If you have problems establishing aconnection, it could mean thatEDIFICE Connected is not running onthe phone. On the phone’s HomeScreen, tap the “EDIFICE Connected”icon. After the app starts up, hold downthe watch’s (B) button for at least twoseconds.

Note

● The connection will be terminated ifyou do not perform any operation onthe watch or phone for a fixed amountof time.To specify the connection limit time,perform the following operation withEDIFICE Connected: “Watch settings”n “Connection time”. Next, select asetting of 3 minutes, 5 minutes, or 10minutes.

Canceling a Connection with aPhone

Pressing any button terminates the Bluetoothconnection and returns the second hand to itsnormal operation.

Using the Watch in a Medical Facilityor Aircraft

You can use the procedure below to disableauto time adjustment when you are in ahospital, inside an aircraft, or in any other areawhere use of a phone is prohibited orrestricted. To re-enable auto time adjustment,perform the same operation again.

3. Hold down (A) for at least 10 seconds untilthe second hand performs one fullrotation.

Adjusting Hand andDay Indicator

AlignmentStrong magnetism or impact can cause thehands and/or the day indicator to go out ofalignment. If this happens, adjust hand andday indicator alignment.

Adjusting Hand and DayIndicator Alignment

1. Pull out the crown to the second click.This causes the second hand to move to12 o’clock.

2. Hold down (B) for at least five secondsuntil the watch beeps. Release the buttonwhen you hear the beep.This causes the second hand to performone full revolution and enablesadjustment of second hand alignment.

3. Rotate the crown to align the second handwith 12 o’clock.

4. Press (B).This enables adjustment of hour hand,minute hand, and 24-hour handalignment.

6. Press (B).This enables adjustment of small hourhand, small minute hand, and small 24-hour hand alignment.

9. If the function hand and/or the dayindicator is out of alignment, rotate thecrown to adjust them. Move the functionhand to 12 o’clock and/or the day to thecenter of the indicator window.● The movement ranges of the function

hand and day indicator are limited whenyou rotate the crown. The maximumleft-right movement of the function handis 180 degrees in either direction. Theday indicator moves only slightly.

● After the function hand and dayindicator are in the positions you want,advance to step 12 of this procedure. Ifyou are unable to make the adjustmentsyou want, go to step 10.

10. Press (B).Confirm that the day indicator shows 1.

● The function hand will move repeatedlywhile the day setting is being changed.The function hand may continue tomove for about 20 minutes.

crown until 1 is shown for the day.● Rotating the crown also causes the

function hand to move. Move thefunction hand to 12 o’clock.

● Leaving the crown pulled out for morethan approximately 30 minutes withoutperforming any operation willautomatically cause the adjustmentoperation to become disabled. If thishappens, push the crown back in to itsnormal position and then pull it outagain to restart the procedure from thebeginning. Pushing the crown in to itsnormal position part way through thealignment procedure will cause thehands to return to their normal position.Any alignment you performed up tothat point will be applied.

Summer Time Switching● Connecting with a Phone to SwitchAfter the watch is connected with a phone,summer time switching of Home City time andWorld Time is performed in accordance withthe EDIFICE Connected setting (Auto/ON/OFF) as described below.Auto :After the watch is connected with a phone,summer time is displayed for the currentlocation time or World Time when it is withinthe summer time period. Otherwise standardtime is displayed.ON :The watch always displays summer time.OFF :The watch always displays standard time.

● Auto Summer Time SwitchingWhen the watch is connected to a phone, it issent summer time period information for yourHome City. If there is a World Time Cityspecified with EDIFICE Connected,information for that city will also be sent. If theEDIFICE Connected summer time setting is“Auto”, the watch will keep track of the summertime period and perform summer timeswitching automatically, even if it is notconnected with the phone.

I can’t pair the watch with aphone.

I can’t reconnect the watchand phone.

Q1 The watch will not re-connect with thephone after they are disconnected.

Is EDIFICE Connected running?The watch cannot re-connect with thephone unless EDIFICE Connected isrunning on the phone. On the phone’sHome Screen, tap the “EDIFICEConnected” icon. Then on the watch, holddown (B) for at least two seconds until thesecond hand points to [R] twice.

Q2 I can’t connect while my phone is inthe Airplane Mode.

Connection with the watch is not possiblewhile the phone is in the Airplane Mode. Afterexiting the phone’s Airplane Mode, go to theHome Screen and tap the “EDIFICEConnected” icon. Then on the watch, holddown (B) for at least two seconds until thesecond hand points to [R] twice.

Q3 I changed the phone’s Bluetoothfrom enabled to disabled, and now Ican’t connect anymore.

Auto Time Adjustment byBluetooth Connection (TimeAdjustment)

Q1 When does the watch adjust is time?The watch will connect with the phone andperform auto time adjustment at around 12:30a.m., 6:30 a.m., 12:30 p.m. and 6:30 p.m. Theconnection is automatically terminated afterauto time adjustment is complete. Also, timesignal auto receive will be performed if therehas been no auto time adjustment based onconnection between the watch and phone formore than one day.

Q2 Auto time adjustment is performed,but the time setting is not correct.

Is auto time adjustment not beingperformed according to its normalschedule?

Note that auto time adjustment is notperformed for 24 hours after swapping ofthe Home Time and World Time, or afterthe time setting is adjusted manually onthe watch. Auto time adjustment willresume 24 hours after either of the aboveoperations is performed.

Crown Operations

Q1 Nothing happens when I rotate thecrown.
