Performance and productivityGain performance and productivity using this tool, which is
designed to meet today’s multitasking office needs. With the
bundled Adobe® Acrobat® software, you can easily create, edit
and store documents within a PDF workflow. You can also
convert your electronic files into PDF files that can be combined
and distributed throughout your organization and opened or
printed by any user with Adobe Reader.
The tool also offers a combination of visual and functional
capabilities that can increase performance by letting you access
existing applications and PDF files within a defined area on
your PC. With the Océ Document Management Tool, you
can preview thumbnails of files without opening software,
move documents or pages within documents and bind them for
grouped transmission. You can also enhance images, OCR text,
attach email files or send and print while distributing data to
others.
ControlWith the Océ Document Management Tool, you can leverage
key functions of your Océ MFP at your desktop. Mailboxes in
your Océ MFPs can be set up to receive documents, store files
or pull files through to your DMT workspace. In addition,
Scan-to-Watch folders can be created with filters that correct
for skewing, image quality and OCR conversion before they are
received and converted to a file.
Distributing, storing and altering documents is easy with the
Océ Document Management Tool. When saving files, you can
add descriptive tags, markers, keywords or individual notes
stored in separate files so other users can open documents
in their original form. In addition to text, you can enhance
images by editing and rotating, straightening, removing color
backgrounds and more.

The Océ Document Management Tool (DMT) enables you to increase control of your business documents
by putting access, editing and distribution decisions at your fingertips. With this tool, many types of data,
including scanned documents, images and applications created with your office software, can be
converted to PDF format for easy editing, processing and searching. You can also quickly share and send
documents or interact with your Océ networked MFP devices by storing, scanning and printing on
demand from your PC. With the Océ Document Management Tool, you can navigate through your office
programs and document activities to get the results you need with unprecedented ease.

DMT 2.2 main window functions
Shortcut toolbarsWith the click of a toolbar button you can alter the file view and network link, search, group, separate and rotate images to rearrange the page.
Drop-down menusAccess advanced tools, such as application setup, customized view settings, OCR capability and security functions with the drop-down menus.
File areaIn this section you can create, delete or move files and folders, change their names or create and add shared folders. Or, just click on an MFP to view the files located within it.
Preview thumbnailsThese icons enable you to view the file format of documents and how many pages are in them without opening a file.
Binder viewVirtually bind documents by dragging and dropping them from various applications without actually merging your original PDF files. Just create a new binder and drag the text, photo, spreadsheet and PDF files that you want to edit.
Customizable launcherAdd applications, email settings and print drivers to the launcher for easy drag-and-drop functionality. With the launcher, you can save print settings or print documents without opening a file.
Card viewWith this view, you can manage and examine a document’s properties, including the name of the author, the title and the subject.
Connectivity Access your networked Océ MFPs, watch folders, TWAIN
compliant scanning devices and email with the Océ
Document Management Tool. With batch printing,
linked application sharing, output in multiple formats and
automatic data transfer, the Océ Document Management
Tool is your connection to most office devices. In addition,
PDF files can be directly registered in or transferred to
another document management or information sharing
application for smooth and efficient use of documents as
information assets.
When sharing larger files, the tool can automatically set
up a simple FTP server from your PC. You can then post
documents or have files sent to the FTP folder for group
access and control with password and log on security.

ConvenienceThe Océ Document Management Tool puts convenience at
your fingertips with an intuitive process for working with
documents, choosing options and organizing workflow. Key
function tool menus can be displayed or hidden and Word,
Excel® or PowerPoint® files can be converted into PDF files
and registered just by dragging and dropping them into a
document folder.
To find documents, just search based on text, bookmarks
or annotations in PDF files, or by filename, date of update
and title, all in a single search operation. For fast printing or
distribution of document sets, just bind or unbind file groups.
You can also easily organize your workspace in the main
window, which includes areas for files, folders, document
toolbar functions and an application launcher toolbar. With all
of these features, DMT gives you the enhanced empowerment,
convenience and control you need to accelerate your document
workflows and get jobs done faster from your desktop.
Security It is easy to keep confidential information secure with the
Océ Document Management Tool. Password and watermark
features along with security functions in the Adobe Acrobat
software protect important data and communications. The
tool lets you define and set detailed access restrictions,
including permitting only authorized people to view, print or
add comments on PDF files. To further prevent unauthorized
use and reduce the time required for circulating documents,
add digital signatures or department approval stamps to your
files and save the originals.

Centralize management of workflowThe Océ Document Management Tool can display data
in a box of a specified MFP and even change the filename.
Downloaded data can be edited, processed and output again as
needed without leaving your desk. This enables more integrated
document management.
Automatic document filteringSave time, steps and improve usability of scanned or digital
files with automatic document correcting filters that can be
turned on to enhance images, trim, OCR and save files into
PDF or TIFF formats. No matter which way you import your
files, these filters will help to improve your text, layout and
images before you even open the processed document.
Enhance imagesThe Océ Document Management Tool features automatic and
manual image correction features. The tool can automatically
judge the image conditions and apply suitable corrections or
you can do it yourself. You can manually rotate images to
straighten them, remove color background or color interference,
delete bleed-through from the reverse side of pages and correct
and enhance digital color photos.
Search with greater flexibilitySearch for specific information by whatever criteria you prefer,
including filename, date, keyword, or a combination of search
criteria to zero-in on the precise data you want. For refined
searches, use multiple keywords and the AND/OR operative.
