The all new Navi-Sailor 4000 Pilot – light, compact and user-friendly, the system has been developed specifically for the needs of pilot organizations around the world. With a carefully considered range of support functions, the system is designed to assist pilots in their daily routine helping them to maintain efficiency of operation before, during and after pilotage.
Based on the industry leading and type approved Navi-Sailor ECDIS software, NS 4000 Pilot is the culmination of twelve months field-based R&D with more than 25 actual pilot personnel. The result is a totally tailored solution giving you all the vital information and decision-making tool you need, in all conditions.
the Pilot PackageThe mobile nature of piloting means that all travel is done with the word ‘Lightweight’ in mind. The NS 4000 Pilot package consists of:Hardware:• Lightweight Laptop• Transas Pilot port repeater (Bluetooth or USB
connection)• Shock-proof and Waterproof casing or bagbuilt-in software:• Navi-Sailor 4000 Pilot software• Built in SD Card Security Dongle• Windows XP or Windows Vista
Preparation• Transas own Chart Assistant software
specially designed to assist with all forms of chart administration, including: installation/updates, chart data base status etc
• User-friendly route planning functions - Ships particulars can be set prior to departure or updated whilst onboard
• Saving of pilot’s personal settings and own hot-key functions
Pilotage
During pilotage and mooring• Bluetooth Pilot Port Repeater allows AIS data to be wirelessly
transmitted from ships AIS directly to the pilot’s laptop wherever it is located on the bridge
• Advanced route monitoring and display • Built-in maneuvering predictor and Docking Mode/Display• Navigator display with key information easy to read for the pilot • Anchorage bearing and distance presentation• Alarm management with ability to turn off/mute alarms and
warnings• Ability to send data from laptop to PDA with “Docking data
display”
recording, de-briefing & reporting• Creates and saves data files for own ship track and movements,
electronic logbook with voice comments, other AIS target information and movement
• Ships Library data base with record of essential vessel’s data (i.e. ships static AIS data vessel’s dimensions and antenna position including vessel’s data base)
• Full AIS Playback functionality based on all recorded data and files
• Extraction of recorded data to MS Office format• Built-in System data and file administration application for file
handling/export and conversion operation
