Nature has always been the best example for building and designing proving to beinspirational to artists, architects, engineers and scientists trying to come up with new andefficient designs. Although humans are great at coming up with innovative ways of solvingproblems, often nature has already done the work through billions of years of evolution andnatural selection to help species survive in a variety of conditions.

Furniture design is one of the best examples of building on what nature has provided.

Either made out of metal, wood or glass, the most important quality furniture design isthe power to create a warm and welcoming space.

These pieces are less about reshaping the natural materials and more about celebrating itas a found object featuring natural form as a major design element - man embraces nature. Ineach case, the human hand carefully sculpts, assembles or highlights. In a new twist on modern, minimalisim is applied to intervention instead of form.

The designers sculptural piece looks a

bit like a mutant green tulip, but it opens to a

    delightful table with attached seating.

This would be a great piece for

    commercial establishments that want compactable

tables and seating, or for individuals that want

something a little different in their homes, perhapsas a poolside dining area.

The green petals of the flower are

actually chairs that eclipse the centre table. When not

in use, it would wrap up and stand tall as an

    attraction.

When you are done using it, just pack it

back together and store it in a closet

Modern Modular Shelving Units by Maria

    Yasko

The designer turned the usual interior element

into a piece of art and named it as Vjunok combining the

modern modual shelving units with wall graphics arts

design; it consists of three modular scaffolding designs, they

are : rill, icelandic tree, and bee.

These modular shelving seems to have been

inspired by natural element and surroundings which have

graphically designed leaves and branches as extensions of

the structures such as the icelandic tree shelving unit.

    Besides of its primary

    functionality, the Vjunok modular

shelving units can be used as part of roomdecoration, dressing up the walls to make

them look something more than simple

and beautiful and adding a focal point to

    any room interior.

configurations by rotating and reversing eachmodular unit. It is designed to line upregardless of its orientation

Filling the spaces with books results in afar from ordinary presentation as theirregular angles give a structured, yet randomeffect.
