What is Tier?Tier is a real stonepanelling systemspecifically designed to create a distinctive,natural stone finishwherever it’s used.

The panels rise in interlocking‘tiers’, fitting seamlessly together,eliminating the need for specialistlabour and making Tier a quickand easy system to use.

Tier panels are deeper thanother standard stone systemscurrently available. Thisallows the panels to have agreater variety of stone sizes,creating a more realistic andauthentic finish.

Behind the beautiful exterior,Tier panels fit together making theconstruction process extremelyfast and efficient, removing theneed for a qualified stonemason.

Tier uses natural stone, thereforeeach and every modular panel iscompletely unique, each havingits own colours, sizes andtextures. Tier also uses a largerbase panel than many otherpanelling systems which allows a greater variation in stone sizes.This is what gives Tier itsauthentic drystone appearance.

Tier’s versatility allows it to beused on both interior and exteriorwalls, and on commercial orresidential projects, making itversatile enough to suit builders,architects and home owners.

Tier Quoin System

The Tier Quoin System can enhance both the cornerand/or window reveals of the building, giving theimpression of grandeur and establishment. Thedistinctive beauty of a natural stone corner is

achieved by using its unique ‘L’ shape, to complementthe Tier Panel System. Depending on the style ofproperty, there are selection of colours to choose from.

CornersThe beauty of Tier is that it worksin harmony to complement a widevariety of finishes and rendering.This is of significance whenconsidering the design, budgetand practical aspects of theconstruction.

Depending on the look you wantto achieve, three options areavailable; Natural Corners,Granite / Brick Quoins andRendered Corners.

NaturalCornersThe Tier Panel System canachieve an extremely naturalfinish to corners with rock facereturn ends giving an organicand rugged aesthetic. If budgetis a factor, then this is the moreaffordable option.

Granite/Brick QuoinsSandstone, limestone, graniteand brick can all be used inconjunction with Tier. Each panelinterlocks with the adjoiningcorner to produce either a vividcontrast between colour or asubtle change in texture.

RenderedCorners Tier is also effective when itcomes to other aspects of thebuild such as windows and doors.The panel system works withrendered finishes to highlighttheir form and contours.

Method ofconstruction

Tier is a modular panel systemand can be fitted to variousinternal and external structures.Each panel is 610mm long by215mm high and weighsapproximately 65 kg per m2.

Traditional Build MethodTier Panel System can beattached to a new or existingconcrete or blockwork structureusing our approved Tier FlexibleAdhesive

Timber Frame MethodTier Panel System can now befitted to our approved BuildingBoard which is screwed to aTimber Frame Structure thereforeeliminating the need for astructural wall.

Installing Tier Step by Step

1. Using a toothed trowel apply an even spread of TierAdhesive directly to the wall.Do not apply using spots orblobs as this will weaken thebond. Once the adhesive hasbeen applied, you must installthe panel within 40 minutes.

2. Fix in place using a rubbermallet. Panels can be cuteasily using a diamondblade where necessary. Forinstallations up to 3m, panelscan be directly adhered to thewall without the use of anyfixings. Larger surfaces require8 fixings per square meter asillustrated in the diagram.

3. To achieve natural corners, two sizes are available so thatthe joints may be variable.Alternatively you can select the Tier Quoin.

Should the panels need to be cut to size, this can be done withstandard masonry tools withoutthe risk of cracks or fractures. As the panels are held fast to thewall with the adhesive, there is noneed to grout or use mortar.
