percent of our product line) on an overnight basis if you’re

Cost-effective training for cost-effective solutions
Because we at Fisher take training so seriously, certified
instructors in our Fisher-Rosemount Educational Services division
offer a variety of courses to gas industry personnel.
Fisher-Rosemount Educational Services works closely with the
gas utilities industry, providing extensive know-how and natural
gas regulator application training.
The range of training includes an annual Gas Industry Conference,
regularly scheduled factory training relative to natural gas regulator
installation and maintenance, Remote Operations Controllers
(ROC), FloBoss™ and on-site training. The course instruction
covers product application and regulation, as well as measurement
instrumentation and studies on PROVOX® Distributed Control
Systems and other process and application topics.
Training for natural gas regulation topics and more is available at
all of our North America Regional Training Centers, or on-site at
your facility. In addition, self-training programs including videos,
workbooks, tests and computer-based training are available to
keep your staff as current and proficient as possible in all new
and mature technologies.
Fisher’s family of Remote Operations Controllers (ROCs) and
FloBoss™ Flow Computers are designed to meet the wide-
ranging measurement and control needs of the natural gas
industry. These powerful products are ideally suited to
applications at wellheads, meter runs, custody transfer stations,
compressor stations and gate stations. They provide on-site,
round-the-clock monitoring, measurement, totalizing, alarming,
communications and control.
Using the latest microprocessor technology, these products stand
alone or network to a data gathering system. Monitored values
are processed and stored for easy access by personnel in the
field, or can be relayed through telephone, radio, or satellite
transmissions to supervisors and managers at regional and
corporate offices. System integration is simplified because they
are designed to operate with many popular host software
packages.
Both ROC and FloBoss product families feature advanced
hardware and software that make them simple to configure and
operate, easy to customize to the application, modular for faster
upgrading and expansion, and versatile for better integration into
host systems. Built into each unit are AGA flow calculations, PID
control and logic/sequencing control to meet almost any
measurement and control need.
Flow measurement and control for the gas industryTo make field automation projects easier, Fisher and its
Representatives have teamed to create the ROC Integration
Network. The Network has access to hundreds of proven field
automation solutions, developed from a worldwide installed base
of over 10,000 FAS products serving a wide range of applications.

The Type 299 pressure reducing regulator has a wide variety of applications,
including natural gas distribution systems, gas supply to industrial boilers,
furnaces, ovens, mixers, plant air service and has PFM and fixed factor
capabilities. The Type 299 is not an adaptation of existing regulators; instead, it
has a new design of integrated cases and internal registration ports. Now
available with token relief (Type 299TR).

The Type 399A-161EB, shown with the Type 252 filter, is a pressure reducing
regulator commonly used in city or district gates and low-pressure commercial
meters. Top entry design allows for in-line inspection and maintenance. The
Type 161EB pilot is similar to the Type 161, but has a taller spring case which
provides higher accuracy.

TRANSMISSION STATIONSFisher and Francel regulators, gas metering and pressure reducing stations are
specified and used in natural gas transmission lines throughout the world.
Our engineers design transmission skids to meet customer specifications with
complete gas control systems including pressure regulation, filtration, gas
heating, odorization and monitoring. A typical double line Offtake Station is
capable of reducing 70 bar pressure to 4 bar at a flow rate of 1,500 SCMH.

DISTRIBUTION STATIONSFrancel distribution stations feature silent pressure regulators and slam shut
technology. Francel manufactures and assembles complete Offtake Stations
or District Regulating Stations to customer specifications. These stations are
shipped as “skids” ready for installation. A typical District Regulating Station is
capable of reducing pressure from 19 bar to 4 bar at a flow of 2,000 SCMH.

CABINETS / MODULESFrancel designs and manufactures a wide range of fitted, painted metal
cabinets and modules in various sizes. Cabinets typically enclose regulators
and related pressure reducing components. Cabinets and modules may be
specified for aesthetic, environmental, or security reasons.
SERVICE PITSDomestic or commercial end users may require compact regulator service
pits or vaults to contain and protect natural gas service assemblies consisting
of regulator, vent, and piping. Service pits are buried underground but are
accessible for necessary utility maintenance.
