A NATION OF EXPLORERS

RESOURCE-RICH CANADA

With robust natural resources stretching from the Canadian Cordillera to the Klondike to the North Atlantic, Canada’s mining, ocean sciences, forestry and energy industries fuel Canada’s innovation economy.

Canada’s rich oil, natural gas, coal and uranium deposits make it a strong leader on the North American energy stage.

Half of Canada’s land mass is covered by woods, trees and forests, which are among the most sustainably managed in the world.

Minerals and metals—the foundation for computers and smartphones—are extracted from Canada’s 200 mines, some of the most active in the world.

Bordered by three oceans and with the world’s longest coastline, Canada’s ocean economy spans industries, spurring innovation in aquaculture, renewable energies, communications technology, bioproducts, defence, transportation and more. The quest for deep exploration didn’t end with the founding of Canada; it was merely the beginning.

Creating connections that drive exploration is a natural byproduct of conferences dedicated to natural resources development and exploration. Relationships established at conferences hosted in Canada lead to collaborative efforts across sectors and countries that inspire technological innovations, process efficiencies and environmental impact across the planet. With centres of excellence, research teams and industry innovators spanning Atlantic Canada, the Prairie provinces and British Columbia, organizers have plenty of options to choose from when considering Canada for international events.
