Groundcovers are typically a mixture of low-lying plants that are easy to grow, are native to the area and require little maintenance. Groundcovers offer many advantages compared to typical grass lawns such as:
• Less need to water and mow
• Protection of soil from erosion
• Increased drought, shade

• Food and shelter for wildlife
• Decreased stormwater runoff
