The Colorado Springs Outdoor Art Scavenger Hunt Maybe you have noticed that as you walk around Colorado Springs, there are many pieces of art on display around our community. On the following pages there are a lot of pictures of many of those artworks. First of all, this is a completely optional activity!! If you choose to participate, take a walk around town with your parents and see if you can find them. (And while you are looking, see if you can find any other ones, as we certainly did not include them all!!) As you walk around and spot them, write down their locations in the boxes, below the short descriptions (or slightly silly titles) provided for each piece. If you would like to get a picture of you with the artwork, that would be really cool, but not necessary to win the prize. If you do try this and find them all, and turn in a copy of the scavenger hunt with the locations of each artwork written in (by Monday, April 3 rd , after Spring Break), you will be invited to a lunch with your three teachers!! At the lunch we will talk about the art and your reactions to each piece and your thoughts about them being displayed out in public the way they are. Enjoy this as a family, good luck, and most of all -- have fun!! Ms. Allison Mr. Magas Mrs. Phillips

Outdoor Art

Scavenger Hunt

Maybe you have noticed that as you walk around Colorado Springs,

there are many pieces of art on display around our community. On the

following pages there are a lot of pictures of many of those artworks.

First of all, this is a completely optional activity!! If you choose to

participate, take a walk around town with your parents and see if you

can find them. (And while you are looking, see if you can find any other

ones, as we certainly did not include them all!!) As you walk around

and spot them, write down their locations in the boxes, below the short

descriptions (or slightly silly titles) provided for each piece. If you

would like to get a picture of you with the artwork, that would be really

cool, but not necessary to win the prize.

If you do try this and find them all, and turn in a copy of the scavenger

hunt with the locations of each artwork written in (by Monday, April

3rd, after Spring Break), you will be invited to a lunch with your three

teachers!! At the lunch we will talk about the art and your reactions to

each piece and your thoughts about them being displayed out in public

the way they are.

Enjoy this as a family, good luck, and most of all -- have fun!!
