BRIEF SUMMARY Alcohol use in the Past Month among individuals aged 12+ years in NH has remained relatively stable in the past 8 years, with a notable decrease in 2010-2011. Since 2007, alcohol use in the past month in NH has been significantly higher than the Northeast region and the United States.

BRIEF SUMMARY Alcohol use in the past month among individuals aged 12-17 has been decreasing across NH, NE and US in the past 8 years. Between the years of 2011 to 2015, there was a notable decrease in NH; however, the percent of youth between the ages of 12-17 who reported using alcohol in the past month was still significantly higher than the US in 2014.

BRIEF SUMMARY Alcohol use in the past month among individuals in NH aged 18-25 has been declining since 2007. However, past month alcohol use among NH young adults (18-25) has been significantly higher than in NE and the US every year since 2007.

BRIEF SUMMARY Alcohol use in the past month among individuals aged 26 and older has remained stable across NH, NE and US in the past 8 years. In all years, NH has had a significantly higher rate of use than the US and NE, with the exception of 2010-2011, when NH was significantly higher than the US alone.

BRIEF SUMMARY Binge Alcohol use in the Past Month among individuals aged 12-17 in NH, NE and the US has declined significantly in the past 7 years. Binge alcohol use in NH was higher each year than in NE and in the US. In 2007-2008, 2008-2009 and 2010-2011 NH had a statistically significant higher rate of use between than the US.

BRIEF SUMMARY Illicit Drug Use among individuals aged 12-17 in NH has been higher than NE and US every year; however this difference has not always been statistically significant. There is a statistically significant difference observed from 2009-2010, 2010-2011 and 2012-2013 between NH and the US.

BRIEF SUMMARY Illicit Drug Use among NH individuals aged 18-25 has shown an upward trend from 2011-2012. Illicit Drug Use rates among NE and the US has remained relatively stable in the same time period. NH individuals reported statistically significant higher rates of use than NE and the US across all years.
