Kept adequate budget provisions for IT in the respective departments rather than at one place in IT Department

IT Budgeting process:

Prepares IT budget for the coming year in the month of September every year keeping in view the funds required for on-going projects as well for the new projects.

The Budgeting demand of every department is discussed and decided at the level of Hon’ble CM

Breakup of IT Spending - where is the money being spent?:

IT budget was spent mainly in two areas – public dealing areas and revenue generating areas in the first phase of implementation.

Projects include SUWIDHA, Social Security, Excise & Taxation, Education, Registration of Properties, Land Records, Transport, Treasuries ad Accounts, Web portals, Municipal Corporations and Connectivity etc.

Kept IT budget for the current fiscal year at Rs. 125 crores i.e. Above 3.5 % of the state’s budget

Excise - Rs. 10 crore

Land Records & RoD - Rs. 30 crore
