FarmFenceFarmFence is a high quality, Australian manufactured product that is positioned to represent fair value for the price conscious buyer.

The 2.50mm heavy galvanised wire used to manufacture FarmFence has a minimum 230 grams/sqm zinc coating making it far superior to standard galvanised wire which is only 40 grams/sqm of zinc. The strong square knot that locks the vertical and horizontal wires together reduces the risk of the wires slipping compared to products like ring joint. FarmFence also has a ‘one piece’ vertical wire meaning it does not need to be clipped to support wires like hinged joint.

Hinged Joint ToughlineSouthern Wire’s Hinged Joint Toughline is manufactured in Australia using high quality, heavy galvanised wire.

The Hinged Knot construction and two way tension crimps allows the fence to flex up over hills and down through valleys. The knot also means that should an animal or fallen tree crush the top of the fence it can be easily straightened back to its vertical postion. The heavy galvanised wire used to manufacture Hinged Joint Toughline has a minimum 230 grams/sqm zinc coating which compares to standard galvanised wire which is only 40 grams/sqm of zinc. Hinged Joint Toughline comes with high tensile 2.80mm top and bottom wires for extra strength.

Fastlock HorseFenceFastlock HorseFence is manufactured in Australia and designed to be a safe and secure fencing option for equine properties. It is used widely on horse studs throughout North America, Europe and Australia.

The high tensile, heavy galvanised horizontal wires have crimps or bends in the wire at 15cm intervals allowing the fence to absorb pressure should an animal lean against it. Once the animal is off the fence, the high tensile wire will return to its original position. This compares to other horse fence products which are made from soft wire and therefore tend to sag over time.

The knot used to secure the horizontal and vertical wires is smooth on both sides to prevent injury when animals rub against the fence. The closely spaced 5cm wide and 10cm high wire openings prevent horses from stepping through or becoming tangled in the fence minimising the risk of serious injury.

The 90cm and 120cm high sizes are available in 100m rolls to reduce the number of joins required when fencing long sections.

Vermin Exclusion FencingOver the past 10 years, Southern Wire has supplied 1000’s of kilometres of vermin exclusion fencing to the Western Queensland and Western New South Wales regions. Some of the common sizes can be found below, however Southern Wire has the ability to manufacture a fence to your exact requirement ensuring the fence does not cost you more than it needs to suit your application. Many of these sizes suit the Rapid Post which are available at 2.1m, 2.3m or 2.4m lengths. The 2.4m Rapid Posts are also available in n EXTRA heavy post that weighs 75% more than the standard size Rapis Post.

The Griplock with Radius Apron has what is widely regarded as the strongest fencing knot on the market. It is designed to withstand the extreme pressure placed on fences that are in an area with signifcant vermin presence.

The wire spacings of the 16/180/15 Griplock allow the bottom 300mm section to be radiused onto the ground to prevent animals from being able to push under the fence.

This product comes standard with 2.8mm wires at the top and bottom as well as where the fence is radiused to create the apron. Additional 2.8mm wires can be added to the fence on request.

Rolled from high quality steel billet, the heavy weight posts are precision cut to ensure they do not twist and turn as they are driven into the ground. Uniform holes are then simultaneously punched for uniformity and consistancy. The post are available with a black bituminous coating or hot dip galvanised for extended longevity.

The EXTRA Heavy Duty Steel posts are designed for superior strength and weigh 3.55kg per metre.

The Southern Wire Rapid Post is designed to speed up fencing and make installation easier. The revolutionary self-sprung stainless steel clip firmly holds the fencing wire in the slot doing away with the need to cut tie wire saving both time, money and frustration!

The Rapid Posts are manufactured from steel billet which is rolled to form the Y shape. They are heavy weight compared to many other posts at 2.04kg per metre with precision cut ends to prevent the post from twisting as they are driven into the ground. The posts are hot dip galvanised after processing.The Rapid Posts are available in both 9 clip and 14 clip versions and in lengths of 165cm and 180cm.
