Context for the Day Share information on issues in a way that allows

dialog around what is known and what is not Hopes for the Day

Move closer to common ground – understanding that not everyone will or has to agree

Share information understanding that people feel strongly and passionately about this issue, all believing that they are doing the right thing

Some are working with different sets of information, exchanging that information will help all to better understand each others views, while addressing misconceptions on all sides

Emotions are high but the only method that will allow a viable solution is Civil Dialogue

Objective: Provide siting decision-makers & the potentially-impacted public with objective information on which to make informed decisions about proposed wind energy projects throughout New England by:

Collecting and disseminating accurate, objective, up-to-date information on critical wind energy issues impacting market acceptance of proposed wind projects

Philosophy/Perspective: Wind Energy has benefits, but… Not every place is the right place for wind generation. Consequences of wind power are rarely as dire as

depicted by organized opponents… And are often not as free of consequence as proponents

would hope (and represent)…

How should project developers and public leaders engage the undecided majority who typically exist in early stages of a siting process and are often key in determining the success of the initiative?
