The influence of Inspire on national policy

The idea is consistently and successfully implemented in public administration

Page 3: National Information System Against Natural Hazards (ISOK)inspire.ec.europa.eu/events/conferences/inspire_2013/pdfs/25-06... · National Information System Against Natural Hazards

The adoption of the national standards: • allows for the gradual implementation of institutional,

organizational and technical interoperability at all levels of government and self-government

• increases the quality and quantity of electronic services

• increases the availability of digital content of public registers for

the public use (information society)

The influence of Inspire on national policy

National Information System Against Natural Hazards (ISOK)

The particularly important is access to the electronic data for: • protection of the society, the economy and the environment against

more frequent extraordinary threats caused by highly intensive and large-scale natural phenomena

• improvement of emergency management in order to ensure safety, protect the life and property of citizens

SOK – Customer Service System – system providing data from IMGW's Hydrology and Telemetry System

Geoportal - system installed in GUGiK which will be a source of data for ISOK (both production data for internal users and publication data)

UMM – Universal Map Module – system installed in GUGIK which will be using ISOK services (FHM, FRM, Meteorological Hazard Maps and other maps)

SEKOP - System for Registration and Control for Damming Objects – system providing spatial data regarding damming objects in form of INSPIRE services

Page 29: National Information System Against Natural Hazards (ISOK)inspire.ec.europa.eu/events/conferences/inspire_2013/pdfs/25-06... · National Information System Against Natural Hazards

Metadata Metadata will be prepared for all network services and data sets of ISOK system.

The data in the metadata repository will be produced and stored in the following nodes of the system:

• ISOK-IMGW node: Central Node, • ISOK-KZGW node: Water Management Information System • ISOK-IMGW node: Backup Centre, • ISOK-KZGW node: Backup Centre.

Metadata will be provided: • by ISOK-KZGW node – limited to the domain of KZGW metadata, • by ISOK-IMGW node: Central Node – collecting full domain of metadata (created in ISOK-

KZGW and ISOK-IMGW nodes).

CSW services provided by ISOK system will be integrated with the Geoportal CSW service to provide access to metadata from the National INSPIRE portal.

Services

Provision of network services in SOA

Provision of INSPIRE network services:

• Catalogue Service for the Web (CSW), discovery service: • Web Map Service (WMS), • Web Map Tile Service (WMTS),

view services:

• Web Feature Service (WFS), • ATOM, • Web Coverage Service (WCS), • Web Feature Service Gazetteer (WFSG),

download services:

•Web Processing Service (WPS), •Web Coordinate Transformation Service (WCTS).

transformation services:

Page 31: National Information System Against Natural Hazards (ISOK)inspire.ec.europa.eu/events/conferences/inspire_2013/pdfs/25-06... · National Information System Against Natural Hazards

Interoperability of ISOK system 1. spatial data sets - harmonizing the INSPIRE data sets with the aim

of achieving mutual consistency of these collections and their adaptation to the common and combined use (in the frame of the contract)

2. spatial data services – specialized, standardized INSPIRE network services, in particular: discovery, view, download, transformation services for internal and external users

3. system level - service oriented architecture – SOA and Enterprise service bus (ESB) - connects all the components and nodes of ISOK system. Network services handled and managed by the ESB will be characterized by interoperability regardless of the technology they were created
