Missouri USA Funds grants totaling $2 million are expanding
Missouri Gov. Jay Nixons initiatives to lower college costs,
accelerate time-to- degree completion, ensure that graduates are
workforce-ready, and help public colleges implement
competency-based education models. An additional $750,000 USA Funds
grant will improve high school graduation rates of at-risk
students.

Nevada A $1.25 million USA Funds grant is expanding a
successful high school dropout prevention program in Las Vegas.
With a $2 million grant, USA Funds is helping launch an online,
competency-based higher education option for adult learners in the
state.

Indiana A $2.4 million USA Funds grant will improve college
completion rates among lower-income students.

Delaware A $300,000 USA Funds grant supports Gov. Jack Markells
long-term goal to provide high school completion support for
disadvantaged students in all Delaware schools.

Multiple States National Governors Association. With a $1
million grant, USA Funds is supporting an NGA policy academy to
help state government leaders strengthen the connection between
their postsecondary education systems and their workforces.
Education Commission of the States. With $319,000 in funding from
USA Funds, ECS is reviewing financial aid policies in all 50 states
and developing policy briefs to advise state leaders on the
development of financial aid policies that promote student
persistence through and completion of postsecondary education. U.S.
Chamber of Commerce Foundation. This $2 million partnership between
USA Funds and the U.S. Chamber of Commerce Foundation seeks to
address the skills gap, the misalignment of skills of recent
college graduates with the needs of employers, in all 50
states.
