TEZPUR UNIVERSITY

A combined annual training camp was attended by 10 NCC cadets

organized by 5 Assam Battalion at Biswanath chariali in July, 2016.

Tezpur University NCC cadets actively participated in social awareness

activities like swaccha Bharat Abhiyaan, National integration, digital

literacy program, voter’s awareness campaign, blood donation camp etc.

NCC unit has organized one motivation lecture of Lt Arun Kaira of 2/11

Gorkha Rifles on career in armed forces dated November 23, 2016.

NCC unit Tezpur University and 5 assam Bn have successfully organized

NER National Integration Camp during December 19, 2016 to December

30, 2016 at Tezpur University campus.

The NIC camp is being participated by 521 cadets, five NCC officers, 20

Male and female NCC Associate officers and 30 PI Instructors.

NCC cadets were came from across the country belongs to twelve NCC

directorates and from 14 different states viz Gujrat, Jammu and Kashmir,

Madhya Pradesh, Chhattisgarh, Arunachal Pradesh, Karnataka, Kerala,

Maharashtra, Orissa, Tamilnadu, west Bengal, Sikkim, Bihar and the

entire north east region.

The NIC camp was inaugurated by Honorable Governor of Assam shri

Banwarilal Purohit on December 20, 2016.

A series of events had been organized in NIC camp like Dog Show by

army, Pagal Gymkhana, Movie show, Inter directorate cultural

competitions, visit to Air force station, Blood donation camp, Band

display etc.

A visit of core commander, deputy core commander and ADG NCC was

also organized in NIC camp.

Senior cadets of Tezpur University have been appeared in NCC B and C

certificate exams in February and March, 2017. All cadets were passes in

NCC B and C certificate exams and majority of cadets are passed with

Grade ‘A’ which brings Tezpur University NCC unit on top in result

among all the units under 5 Assam Bn.
