Doctoral Committee: For each research scholar, a three member doctoral committee consisting of guide and two experts from within Tamilnadu (one member is HOD) may be formed from the panel of experts submitted by the research supervisor through proper channel and the Vice-Chancellor will nominate the expert from the panel.
The committee will meet to review the progress of the candidate at least twice during the period of the research programme. The first meeting will be conducted if the candidate has cleared the Part-I exams and made some progress in the research work or identification of the research problem. The committee has to recommend for the conformation of registration. During the second meeting if the committee has satisfied with the research work of candidate, then the committee recommends for submission of the synopsis and thesis.
