0 You to Whose mercy one flees!You in Whom the one in need and distress seeks refuge!

0 Master, You Whose pardon is near!0 You Who help all who call on Him!

wa y mugh - t ha ku l l i man da - ' hu

We seek Your help, 0 You who help the weak!You are enough for us, 0 Lord!

f a -hasbun ya r abb i an ta wa ka f

There is nothing more majestic than Your immense powerand nothing mightier than the might of Your force.

Kings are humbled to the might of Your domainand You lower or elevate whomever You wish.

The entire affair returns to You,and the release or conclusion of all matters is in Your hand.

We have presented our affair before You,

Have mercy on us, 0 You Who know our weaknessand continue to be merciful.

Look at what we have experienced from people!

Our troops are few and our wealth is little.Our power has declined among groups.

They have weakened our solidarity and strength

and diminished our numbers and our preparation.was- t ad- ' a f n shaw-ka tan wa sh iddah

0 You Whose kingdom cannot be pillaged,give us shelter by Your rank which is never overcome!

0 Succour of the poor, we trust in You!

0 Cave of the weak, we rely on You!

You are the One on Whom We call to remove our adversities,and You are the One we hope will dispel our sorrows.

You have such concern for us that we cannot hopefor protection which comes through any other door.

We rush to the door of Your bountyand You honour the one You enrich by Your gift.

You are the One Who guides when we are misguided.You are the One who pardons when we slip.

You have full knowledge of all You have createdand encompassing compassion, mercy and forbearance.

There is no one in existence more lowly than we are

nor poorer and more in need of what You have than us.wa l a y sa m i nn f - l wu j d i ah-q a r u

0 you of vast kindness! 0 You Whose good encompasses all mankindand no other is called on!

0 Saviour of the drowning! 0 Compassionate!

0 rescuer of the lost! 0 Gracious Bestower!y mun -q id ha - l gha r qa wa y hann -nu

Words are lacking, 0 Hearing, 0 Answerer!The cure is difficult, 0 Swift! 0 Near!

To you, our Lord, we have stretched out our hands

and from You, our Lord, we hope for kindness.

Be kind to us in what You decreeand let us be pleased with what pleases You.

0 Allah, change the state of hardshipfor ease and help us with the wind of victory.

wa ab - d i l i l l a humm a h l a - l ' u s r i

Give us victory over the aggressorsand contain the evil among those who asked for it.

w j - 'a l l a n ' a l - l bu -gh t i - l gha l abah

wq-su r adha sha r r i ' a l man ta l abah .

Overpower our enemy, 0 Mighty, with a forcewhich disorders them and crushes them.

Overturn what they desire and make their efforts fail,defeat their armies and unsettle their resolve.

wh- z i m j u y- s ha-h um w a a f s i d r - y ahum

0 Allah, hasten Your revenge among them.

They cannot stand before Your power.wa 'a j - j i l i l l a hum ma f - h i m n i q -ma tak

f a - i nnahum l yu - ' j i z zna qud- r a t aq

0 Lord, 0 Lord, Our protection is by Your love,and by the might of Your help.

Be for us and do not be against us.

Do not leave us to ourselves for a single instant.f a kun l an wa l t akun ' a l a y -n

We have no power of defencenor have we any device to bring about our benefit.

wa l - s- t a ta - ' n h l a - t a n l i - na f - ' i

We do not aim for other than Your noble door,

and we do not hope for other than Your encompassing bounty.

Minds only hope for Your blessingby the simple fact that you say "Be" and it is.

0 Lord, 0 Lord, arrival is by Youto what You have and seeking the means is by You!

0 Lord, You are our high pillar of support!0 Lord, You are our impregnable fortress.

0 Lord, 0 Lord, give us securitywhen we travel and when we remain.

0 Lord, preserve our crops and herds,and preserve our trade and make our numbers more!

Make our land a land of the deen

and repose for the needy and the poor.w j - 'a l b i l -d an b i l -da d n i

Give us force among the lands as well as respect,impregnability and a polity.

w j - 'a l l a h b ayna - l b i l - d i saw- l ah

wa hu r -mat an w a ma n- ' a t an wa daw- l ah .

Appoint it its might from the protected secret,

and grant it protection by the beautiful veilingw j - 'a l m i na s i r r i - l masn i ' i z z a -h

w j - 'a l m i na s i t r i - l j am l i h i r - zah

By sad, qaf and nun,place a thousand veils in front of it.

w j - 'a l b i -sd i n wa b i - q f i n wa b i - nn

l f a h i j b i n m i n wa r - i h y a kn

By the rank of the light of Your noble Face

and the rank of the secret of Your immense kingdom,

b i - j h i n r i wa j - h i k a - l k a r -m i

wa - j h i s i r r i mu l k i - ka - l ' adh -m i

And the rank of 'la ilaha illa'llah'and the rank of the Best of Creation, 0 our Lord,

wa - j h i l i l a ha i l l a l l a - hu

wa - j h i kh ay r i - l k ha l q i y r ab b-h u

And the rank of that by which the Prophets prayed to Youand the rank of that by which the Awliya' pray to you,

wa - j h i m b i h i da - ' k a - l anb i y

wa - j h i m b i h i da - ' k a - l aw l i y

And the rank of the power of the Qutb and the Awtadand the rank of the Jaras and Afrad,

wa - j h i qad r i - l qu tb i w - l aw t -d i

wa - j h i h l i - l j a r s i w - l a f r - d i

And the rank of the Akhyar and the rank of Nujaba'and the rank of the Abdal and the rank of the Nuqaba',

wa - j h i - l akh - y r i wa j h i n u j ab

And the rank of every one worshipping and doing dhikrand the rank of everyone praising and giving thanks,

wa - j h i ku l l i ' b i - d i n wa dh - k i r

wa - j h i ku l l i hm id i n wa sh - k i r .

And the rank of everyone whose worth You elevated

both those who are concealed and those whose renown has spread,wa - j h i ku l l i man r a fa - ' t a qad - r ahu

m imman sa t a r t a aw na -sha r t a dh i k - r a hu .

And the ranks of the firm ayats of the Bookand the rank of the Greatest Supreme Name,

wa - j h i y t i - l k i t b i - l m uh -k am i

wa - j h i - l sm i - l 'dham i - l mu - ' adha -m i

0 Lord, 0 Lord, make us stand as fuqara'

before You, weak and lowly.y r ab b i y r abb i wa q a fn fuq a r

bayna yaday -ka du- ' a f -a huqa r

We call to You with the supplication of the onewho calls on a noble Lord who does not turn aside those who call.

wa qad da- 'aw- nka du ' - a man da '

r abbn ka r -mn l y a - r uddu man sa '

Accept our supplication with Your pure grace, with

the acceptance of someone who sets aside the fair reckoning.

f q -ba l du ' - an b i -mahdi - l f ad- l i

q ab l a man a lgh h i s -ba - l ' a d - l i

Bestow on us the favour of the Generous,and show us the kindness of the Forbearing.

wam-nu n ' a l ayn m i nna t a - l ka r -m i

w - ' ti f ' a l a yn ' a t- f a t a - l ha l -m i

0 Merciful, extend Your mercy over usand spread Your blessing over us, 0 Generous.

wan -shu r ' a l a yn y r a h m u r a hma - tak

wab-su t ' a l a yn y ka r -mu n i 'ma- t ak

Choose for us in all our wordsand select for us in all our actions.

wakh - t a r l an f s a - i r i - l f - ' l i

0 Lord, make it our habit to cling and devote ourselvesto the resplendent Sunna.

Confine our manifold desires to Youand grant us full and complete gnosis.

Combine both knowledge and action for us,

and direct our hopes to the Abiding Abode.wa j -ma ' l a n m ba yna ' i lm i n wa ' ama l

ws- r i f i l d r i - l baq m i nna - l m a l

0 Lord, make us follow the road of the fortunateand make our seal the Seal of the martyrs, 0 Lord!

wn -ha j b i n y r abb i nah j a s u- 'ad

wkh - t i m l a n y r abb i kha t ma shu- had

Make our sons virtuous and righteous,

scholars with action and people of good counsel.wa j - 'a l ban n fuda l a su l a -h

wa 'u l am a ' m i - l na nusa -ha

0 Allah, remedy the situation of the peopleand, 0 Allah, make the reunification easy.

wa s - l i h i l l a humma h l a - l h - l i

wa yass i - r i l l ahum ma j am- ' a sham - l i

0 Lord, grant Your clear victory to the one

who takes charge and empowers the Deen,

y r ab b i w f - t ah f a t -hak a - l mub na

l i -man t awa l l a wa - ' a z za d - na

And help him, 0 You Who are forbearing, and help his partyand fill his heart with what will make him pleasing to you.

wn -su r hu y dh taw l i wn -su r h i z bahu

wm- l a b im yu r -d k a ' anhu qa lba -hu

0 Lord, help our Muhammadan deen,and make it end mighty as it began.

Preserve it, 0 Lord, through the preservation of the scholars,and raise the minaret of its light to heaven.

Pardon, grant well-being, make up for our deficiencyand forgive our sins and the sins of every Muslim, 0 our Lord.
