While there is great anticipation about the exciting events which come at this time of year, there are still plenty of significant learning opportunities and decisions ahead. While our underclassmen have already taken the critical first step of course selections for next year, many of our seniors are just now finalizing plans for life after Naples High. In addition, we are all beginning the process of final preparations for a busy end of year testing season which will consume the entire month of May as well as a several days in April. Regardless if it is choosing courses, preparing for an exam, or making the challenging final decision on post high school life; we know that our students are prepared. Testing season looms large over the final quarter of the school year.Recent changes to state statute have moved testing to later in the year which has created an abundance of testing in the month of May.All of our students will be participating in the Florida Standards Assessments,Advanced Placement exams,AICE tests, final exams, and industry certification performance tasks. These assessments will be used to measure how well our students are learning state and industry standards while also providing the opportunity to earn valuable college credit. In the coming weeks we will be sure to communicate that a comprehensive testing schedule is on our school website. Please be sure to consult this calendar as many of the exams do not offer make-up dates. In addition to these assessments, the end of the school year also presents the opportunity to celebrate our success. Whether it is our traditional awards celebrations or something specific to a club or a team, the pride our students take in their performance is what makes continued on next page...
