#72 Satin finish Brocade Leigh (43-L in patterns). Includes ball bodice, skirt/underskirt w/matching brocade flounce added to the aqua polished cotton underskirt hem. This dress started out fitting women w/bust of 40-45" & waist of 40-44". It has additional back panels added to accommodate a bust of 44-48+ & waist up to 50+". Pale beige/sea foam silk organza under sleeves, matching brocade pagoda sleeves that can be hooked into the armscye under the short sleeves for day/tea wear. Matching brocade cape. The silk & rayon lace trim (pagoda sleeve hems, cape trim, short ball sleeves/neckline) is tinted to match the 'sea foam' ground of the brocade. All of the brocade flowers are shades of peach, pink, some pale yellow/gold and shades of aqua/bluish-green for the leaves/vines. The ground is grayish-green. Hence the title: Sea foam. Matching evening silk hair flowers- 1 or 2 piece coronet & coordinated mitts/gloves are included. The entire dress is lined w/polished cotton. The ball bodice is piped. Eyelets w/silk ribbon on the ball sleeves. Silk ribbon in the neckline lace. The original design for this dress is from Canada. It was designed as a bride’s reception dress. I have also found an original CDV from England that shows the identical design as the bride’s wedding dress. This dress was first made for a bride who was wed in VA. @ Fort Shenandoah. The entire wedding party was dressed in period clothing. Worn 3 x’s. (Originally $950.00).

Prince of Wales Suit; Black merino wool. (6 Pieces in this Set.) Frock coat was tailor-made using 2
original tailcoats, original silk twill used to bind the collar, front, & hem edges. Original silk twill covered buttons
used on the front, tails, & sleeves. This was the prototype used to teach classes on 19th century tailoring, & model for several other coats from
the same 1890 original coats. Black silk satin lining. Includes: Frock coat w/original peg trousers, original vest, formal shirt, vintage braces & silk tie.
Worn by lead actor portraying John Wilkes Booth filmed @ Ford’s Theatre in Washington, DC.

Meticulous reproduction ladies walking dress in mint green & cream floral striped cotton, bodice has long shaped sleeves, front closing
& trimmed with ruched bands at cuffs, waist & tails, boned & fully lined, includes cream silk lace collar. Skirt is full
w/ruched band of fabric close to hemline, partially lined with cotton. All visible seams finished in pale green
braiding, all interior seams are finished. Accompanied by a cream crochet shawl & under-sleeves.
In excellent condition, looks like new!

Outstanding Harriet’s reproduction circa 1856 ladies blue & tan cotton dress. Bodice has low scooped neckline, long
flared sleeves, gathered fan front. Trimmed at neck, sleeves, cuffs w/lace, silk tassel braid, and ribbons. Includes a lace
chemisette insert w/hand painted porcelain brooch at neck & white broderie anglaise exposed cotton ruffled sleeve linings.
The full fan front tiered skirt is beautifully trimmed w/layers of fine cotton fringe, over an attached underskirt of pale blue
polished cotton w/hem protector. Chemisette & under-sleeves included.

back & diagonally across bodice front with double rows on sleeves. Diminutive chocolate and white faux button closures disguise hook & eyes. Skirt is full with French box pleated front, back closure & hem
protector. Accompanied by a chocolate brown Glengarry hat elaborately trimmed in silk soutache braid, multiple long feather plumes & finished
