3rd Grade E-Learning Plans
April 21 – April 24 (Week 2)
This work is intended to take one hour each day. Please do your best and remember that your teacher will be
checking and grading your work! Check in with your teacher daily to ask questions and to find out how to turn
in your work. Use this sheet as a checklist while you work, be sure to read the directions entirely to complete
each task. Don’t forget to check the back of this sheet for more directions!
Tuesday:
Reading
o Read The Story of the Statue of Liberty in your reading textbook. (pg. 374-385)
Language Arts
o Prefixes come at the beginning of a word to change a word’s meaning. This week we are
working on the prefix un-. Read Emma and Liberty (pg. 372-373) and find the two vocabulary
words with this prefix. Write the definition of these words.
o Complete the task card worksheet.
Math
o Practice math facts using an app on your iPad for 3-5 minutes.
o Work on lesson 22, equivalent fractions. Equivalent fractions have different numerators and
denominators that represent the same value of a whole. Complete the worksheets (pg. 259 &
262). Some examples are finished for you.
Wednesday:
Reading
o Read Emma and Liberty in your reading textbook again (pg. 372-373).
o Write the definition and draw a picture of each vocabulary word highlighted in the story.
o Write a sentence using each vocabulary word. You should write 8 sentences total.
Math
o Practice math facts using an app on your iPad for 3-5 minutes.
o Work on lesson 22, equivalent fractions. Complete the worksheet (pg. 260).
o Complete the following IXL standard up to a score of 80.

o The vowel pattern /oo/ makes multiple sounds. Read the I Can Read! story from your reading
textbook (pg. 368-369).
o Make a chart and type as many words as you can find that have the /oo/ sound from moon and
foot. You may find these words on pg. 369 or throughout the story, The Story of the Statue of
Liberty.
Math
o Practice math facts using an app on your iPad for 3-5 minutes.
o Work on lesson 22, equivalent fractions. Complete the worksheet (pg. 263).
o Complete the following IXL standards up to a score of 80.
