Namara Village Microgrid Project WORK PROGRESS UPDATE REPORT

Brief Summary

The Namara Micro Grid project work has commenced from 28 August 2017 and was

scheduled to complete by end of October 2017. Civil works which is the first phase of

construction is currently underway and is yet to be completed and is expected to be

completed by first week October. However, the second phase of work which is the delivery

of house wiring materials has been done and house wiring is already underway and as of

to date (29/09/17 @ 4.30am), 30 houses has already been wired.

The house wiring that is currently underway includes the installation of 2 lights (2 feet

LED lights and frames) and 1 power point with switches but excludes the installation of

meter boxes. Meter boxes will be installed once all smart meters are inserted inside the

meter boxes. This will be done later as soon as all underground supply main and service

main with its various pillar boxes are installed.

As of now, the Omega team is awaiting Woojin Industrials System Co. Limited to provide

confirmation on queries regarding the connection point (Main Connection/Distribution

Board) from the PV Array side, Generator side and Load Side before commencing with

the laying of the main distribution line/cable. Mr. Kang is awaiting response from his head

office in Korea.

As for the Civil works, platforms/concrete foundation for the 2 containers has completed

and the 2 containers (ESS container and Operational container) have already been placed

on top of the foundations. The concrete foundation for the generator house is also complete

and generator has already been placed on top of its foundation. However the generator

house is near completion and will be completed sooner.

Below is the summary and evidence of the work currently underway at Namara:

OBSERVATION AND RECOMMENDATIONS

1. The company has managed to undertake house wiring installation for 30 households.

As mentioned from above; all materials for house wiring works is currently on site. The

company can now be paid on the delivery of house wiring materials.

2. The foundation for the Solar Array is still in progress and is expected to complete by

mid next week probably on 4th September 2017. It will be a 3 set of Solar Array and

one of the array platform has been constructed already. The other two will be completed

by 4th September 2017.

3. The completion of the drainage work and fencing work should also finish by end of

next week but focus will be on the fencing work then drainage later. As of now, both

this work is being done concurrently.

4. The generator/ power house will be completed most probably by end of next week.

More time was focused on the making of the air ventilation window since it was made

on site rather than having ready-made vents as the case with many of DOE,s Generator

projects. Currently, the structure and noggins is been painted with wood prime paint.

CONCLUSION

The company can now be paid with the delivery of house wiring materials and pillar boxes.

The have already completed house wiring for 30 households and all house wiring is

expected to be completed by next week.
