FAQ    What  does  NACE  do?  The  National  Association  for  Catering  and  Events  (NACE)  promotes  excellence  within  the  catering  and  events  industry  by  recognizing  standards  and  provides  the  means  for  members  in  all  segments  of  the  hospitality  industry  to  differentiate  themselves  through  education,  certification  and  a  network  of  resources.      Why  NACE?  In  a  world  where  margins  are  slimmer  and  expectations  are  grander  than  ever  before,  catering  and  event  professionals  must  keep  current  on  trends,  produce  creative  ideas  and  continually  build  upon  their  networks  of  innovative  professionals  to  remain  successful  and  competitive.      How  is  NACE  different?    NACE  provides  the  means  for  catering  and  events  professionals  to  differentiate  themselves,  which  is  vital  to  success  in  the  hospitality  industry.  By  providing  education  for  all  segments  of  the  hospitality  industry  through  the  annual  conference,  the  CPCE  certification  program,  online  education  and  local  chapter  meetings  and  events,  NACE  inspires  professionals  to  become  engaged  and  facilitates  personal  and  professional  growth.      Who  can  participate  in  NACE?  Anyone  can  be  a  member  of  NACE.  There  are  seven  distinct  types  of  membership:  Professional,  Corporate,  Legacy,  Non-‐profit,  Partner,  Student  and  Young  Professional.  Each  category  has  a  different  annual  fee.      What  is  the  annual  Experience!  Conference  &  Expo  hosted  by  NACE?    The  Experience!  Conference  and  Expo  is  the  only  major  conference  that  serves  every  professional  in  the  catering  and  events  industry.  The  conference  includes  three  major  segments:  the  Design  Experience,  the  Culinary  Experience  and  Business/Marketing.  It  also  includes  various  breakout  sessions  and  panels  that  discusses  core  competencies,  emerging  trends,  ideas  and  techniques.
