Existing systems
• OLTAS (Online ticket accounting system)• VEMAS (Vehicle maintaining system)• STOINS (Stores inventory system)• PMS (Personal management system)• FACTIS (Financial accounting & information system)• OPRS (Online passenger reservation system)• OLIMS (Online inventory management system)• BUS PASSES (Pass automation & accounting system)
Overview on OLTAS• Online ticket accounting system facilitates efficient accounting
of the tickets and produces error-free up to date information of the accounts.
• TIM s are introduced for Ticket issuing and generation of Way bill.
• Daily and monthly reports will be generated by COBOL programs
Overview on VEMAS• Vehicle maintaining system module is the information about
the vehicle related consumption and life time of its every unit.
• Log sheets are generated in VEMAS by COBOL App.
• Log sheet contains Vehicle No., driver No., Operated KMs can be captured directly from OLTAS module. By utilizing all the reports of VEMAS, total manual work in garage can be eliminated
Overview on STOINS & OLIMS
• Stores inventory system is designed to cover the depot stores activities and Online inventory system is for purchasing vehicle parts through online in zonal stores
• All the parts of vehicles are numbered and stored in a form of .cob files in COBOL application.
• These systems take care of local purchases done to meet the exigencies. On the issues side, it covers issues of intra depot and inter depot.
Overview on PMS & FACTIS• Personal management system is developed to maintain the
personal info of drivers, conductors and staff.
• Financial accounting & information system developed to maintain the financial issues of organization.
• All the information of employees and their financial issues are stored in .cob in COBOL application.
Interface of DCP
• Common login interface for OLTAS, VEMAS & STOINS
Overview on OPRS• Online passenger reservation system is developed to booking ticket
through web interface is provided at various Reservation Centers• OPRS is a web interfaced system, which was coded using HTML,
CSS, Java Script, JSP and AJAX.
• Login screen Ticket booking
Overview on BUS PASS• Pass automation and accounting system is developed to
providing passes to the students ,employees and staff.
• This module developed using ASP.NET, HTML, CSS, JavaScript languages.
• The all information stored in Oracle database system and connected to the other counters through internet.
Conclusion• In APSRTC organization they are using COBOL application in
Linux operating system.
• Using web interfaces in some modules for fastness.
• Through out the internship , I got the experience in using COBOL app and operating the Unix os through terminal using the commands.
