Unit 8 Developing a Creative Media Production Project

Unit Aim: - Provide students with the opportunity to use their skills, knowledge and understanding developed through the previous units to complete a creative media project. Providing the students with the opportunity to clarify their longer-term goals through the choice of an activity to explore in greater depth.

What is your Learning Task/Assignment for the week? (What are you going to do in the week)

This week I will begin work on my production pitch. I will make a PowerPoint and present it to my tutors to hopefully gain approval.

How do you plan to achieve this? (SMART Targets)I plan to make a presentable and informative PowerPoint showcasing my ideas.I hope to have my ideas approved by my tutors so that I can begin to work on my project.

In my PowerPoint I told my tutors about the research and work I had done so far, and what I intended to do for my final project. I received great feedback from my tutors which helped me adapt my final project idea.

This week will I be researching my audience personas, I will be doing this by looking at certain websites and conducting surveys to better understand my audience.

How do you plan to achieve this? (SMART Targets)I plan to better understand who my target audience are so that I can shape my project to their needs.I plan to create a working survey on surveymonkey.com.I plan to post my survey into my college Facebook group for my fellow students to answer. By doing this I will receive some feedback which will help me shape my project for my target audience.

I received 12 answers to each of my questions in total. This gave me lots of ideas to consider for my project. I learnt that my planned project would work well with my target audience due to the feedback I received.

How do you plan to achieve this? (SMART Targets)I plan to make some concept layouts of my planned posters to pan where things are going to go in my posters. I plan to start work on my first poster for my project.Plan to find some assets from online that I can use.

This will help me in the coming weeks when I start to work on the rest of my posters fully. I have also started work on my first poster. I have found some assets online that I can use for my other posters also.





One of my tutors gave me some helpful feedback on my first poster. This helped me improve my work for the better.

I was able to find the right assets for my poster, while not breaking any copyright laws. I also fully evaluated my project in the portfolio, discussing the methods and processes I used while working on my posters.





This week I received feedback on all my posters from my tutor. I was told what looked good in my posters, and what I could improve on. I was happy with the feedback as it will help me in the future

when I work on work like this project.
