3 GENERAL CONDITIONS 3.1 The transformer shall be designed and manufactured in accordance with the recommendations contained in standard ABNT NBR 5356. The terminology to be adopted in the technical documentation shall comply with standard ABNT NBR 5458. 3.2 The routine tests on the transformer, as well as type and special tests, when requested on the Data Sheet of standard PETROBRAS N-1559, shall be conducted in accordance with standard ABNT NBR 5380. 3.3 The manufacturer shall indicate, when the Data Sheet of standard PETROBRAS N-1559 is completed, other ABNT/IEC standards also applicable to the supply, in addition to those listed in Chapter 2 of this Standard. In case of conflicts, the requirements of the standards explicitly mentioned in Chapter 2 will prevail. 3.4 The transformer Data Sheet is generally partly completed and issued by PETROBRAS, with the manufacturer being responsible for filling in all remaining spaces left blank. For each transformer identification number there is a corresponding Data Sheet to which a specific identification is assigned for that application. The blank form used for the issuance of the transformer Data Sheet is standardized by standard PETROBRAS N-1559. Additional sheets, when necessary, shall follow the standards given in standard PETROBRAS N-381. 3.5 Whenever there are discrepancies between the Data Sheet of standard PETROBRAS N-1559 and this Standard, the information contained in the former shall prevail.

4 CONSTRUCTIVE CHARACTERISTICS 4.1 General Characteristics 4.1.1 The transformer shall be resistant to corrosion resulting from installation in a petrochemical industrial environment, and shall be suitable for the other environmental characteristics specified on the Data Sheet of standard PETROBRAS N-1559. The anti-corrosive treatment to which the transformer shall be subjected shall present final results at least equivalent to those specified by standard PETROBRAS N-1735. 4.1.2 The final finish color shall be light gray (code 0065) according to standard PETROBRAS N-1219. 4.1.3 Unless otherwise specified on the Data Sheet of standard PETROBRAS N-1559, the three-phase transformer with primary winding connected in a delta configuration and secondary winding connected in a wye configuration shall have an angular displacement of 30°, with the wye winding voltage being delayed in relation to the voltage of the other winding (Dyn1). 4.1.4 The transformer shall be suitable for operation with natural cooling, and be capable of withstanding additional loads through the introduction of forced cooling, as specified in the standards indicated in Chapter 2 of this Standard. In case an additional power percentage, with forced cooling, exceeding the standardized value is specified on the Data Sheet of standard PETROBRAS N-1559, the transformer shall withstand it without detriment to its service life. 4.1.5 Unless otherwise specified on the Data Sheet of standard PETROBRAS N-1559, the transformer shall have on the high voltage winding at least 4 taps, besides the main one, corresponding to ± 2 x 2.5 %, so as to allow the rated power to be achieved. 4.1.6 In case the number or range of taps specified on the Data Sheet of standard PETROBRAS N-1559 exceeds the one indicated in item 4.1.5 of this Standard, it shall be possible to achieve the rated power on any of the specified taps. 4.1.7 Transformers having a load current with a high harmonic content require special care with regard to the determination of their rated power and constructive characteristics, and the recommendations contained in standard IEEE Std C57.110 or another equivalent standard shall be followed, provided PETROBRAS agrees with its use. Note: In accordance with standard ABNT NBR 5356, non-sinusoidal load currents with a

harmonic current factor exceeding 0.05 pu are considered special working conditions and may require special care with regard to construction and/or determination of rated values.
