sports car agility. Driving these keen dynamics is an

advanced 3.7 litre V6 engine. It gives you 204kW of

refined power and 367Nm of torque, intelligently

applied via a smooth 6-speed Activematic transmission.

Your enjoyment is enhanced by CX-9’s supple fully

independent suspension, whose responsiveness makes

you feel you’re driving a smaller vehicle. Up front,

MacPherson struts promote ideal tyre-to-road contact,

while at the rear a sophisticated multi-link system

The CX-9 can accommodate everyone without any

compromises. Seven full-sized seats and ample

legroom provide generous space, yet there’s still

plenty of space for cargo. Third row access is

incredibly simple. One hand is all it takes to operate

the rear-access latch that tilts and slides the 2nd-row

seat forward. It gives you easy access to 3rd-row

seating and nearly 23cm of foot space. A simple pull

of the 3rd-row release strap folds the 50/50 split

rear seatback down to reveal a surprising 928 litres

of cargo space. Folding the 2nd-row 60/40 split

seatback gives you a massive 1,887 litres of room,

and all without the hassle of having to remove any

headrests. Even with seven people on board, there’s

an impressive 267 litres of cargo room available.

This level of space, comfort and accessibility means

everyone enjoys plenty of room to live.

For ease of use the centre armrest console’s lid opens sideways in two parts,

revealing a large storage compartment. A lockable, illuminated glove box
