Explanation of process:

1)YARN (preparatory)

Single yarn, double yarn, folded yarn, fancy yarn, texturised yarn, twisted yarn & so on. Raw material yarn is available directly from the spinners & the dealers by transport to the factory according to the design demanded by the market. The yarn is issued to the warping dept. for warping purpose of the beam.

2) WARPING:

In the warping dept. is connected with the creel end, the cones for fixing on the design by the warper and creel boy. The total number of ends (threads) desired for warping is drawned through the warper reed to decide the length of the width of warping beam. This is known as warping section designing as per the no. of creel cones. After warping the full section of beam the warper is fixing the backside of the warping machine. Whatever the package of warp sheet from the machine is take into rolling on beam rolls i.e. what is called warped beam.

25

Page 26: Mytex Project.doc Win 97

3) DRAWING:

The warper beams are shifted to drawing dept. where drawers are there. Warped beam is fixed on the healed frames & reeds with drop pins.As per the job card & the design fully read by the drawer & the reacher they are drawing the following the ends through the drop pins & the wire healds through the reeds are decided by the designing dept. as per the textile fabric required. This way the beam is drawned & shifted to the weaving dept.

4) WEAVING:

Where there are lot of looms as per the gaiting the drawned beam is fixed on the loom & the beam gaiter technician mounting, & gaiting the beam. Missed ends are drawned on the machine itself by the quality control dept. people will come & check the whole process & the machine is ready to start with the help of weaver(operator) as per the design fixed on the electronic name writer & dobby. Now the production starts with appropriate pick wheels fixed. As per the pick wheels the yarn using for weft is calculated along with the

26

Page 27: Mytex Project.doc Win 97

width (reed space) the weft calculation is calculated. The fabric process is going on for production. After woven the fabric, the fabric roll is sending for grey dept for grey checking.

5) GREY:

The grey checker checking the fabric meter by meter to inspect types of faults, if he found any regular fault he may called the appropriate dept. persons to show their fault & he should not be repeated again the same is to be noted in his grey checking book is to be checked every day by the higher authorities. So this is the most important quality control dept. to enable the factory’s process to SEE and WATCH.After the grey checking the folder is folding the fabric & sends to mending dept.

6) MENDING:

Mending dept. there are menders in the dept. putting the roll of fabrics folded in

their table & find out the mistakes & they will be mend the fabric & removing the unwanted threads & plug & plunch the fabrics.

7) DISPATCH FOR PROCESS: After the mending process the same fabric is rerolled in the rolling machine or folded by the folder is kept ready for dispatch to process house…..

27

Page 28: Mytex Project.doc Win 97

8) PROCESS DEPT.(Dyeing dept.) :

whatever the grey material received from the weaving companies is stored in the grey dept. the same material is to be issued to the bleaching or scouring as per the instruction of the particular owner of the material with a particular lot no. is stamped & each & every piece & confirming the length of the fabric & then the material is to issue the dyeing dept.In the dyeing dept. there are Jiggers & Winch machine there the grey fabrics are put & roated with water & detergent liquid to wash bleach. In some cases if the material is having stains they will not do process like straight away they will not issue directly for washing. So they will issue to stain removing dept. according to the assortment by the part they will select the process machine.

9) JIGGER: Jigger is the machine there are two cloth rollers front and back with full of fabrics

Winch machine is routing clockwise and anticlockwise something after the wait fabrics sending for grey setting width of a appropriate size sending for different heat chambers or heat rolls to dry & set the width there the same material send for dyeing the material send for dyeing the required color. After dyeing the material is to be passed through the decodising machine to the compressed the fabrics & given lusters feel by removing prututery fibers after this process sending to stentery machine for finishing the fabrics, here, the chemical on the shaftner the material is sending for dispatching for marketing.

PRODUCTION COST:

28

Page 29: Mytex Project.doc Win 97

PRODUCTION COST = Raw Material cost+ Electricity charges + manpower cost + Transportation Charges+ sundry Expenses + plant & machinery cost

Example:

For 200 RPM SULZER machine with 72 picks per minute gives 85% efficiency produce 85 meter per day.

48 MACHINES * 85 METERS = 4080 METERS per day

72 picks means 72 threads woven vertically to find the thickness of the fabric picks are calculated for weft wise weight for fabric cost

4080 meter *30 days

Nonstop work with relieving manpower and staff

4080*30 = 1, 22,400 meters per month

Cost of production = total production / total expense of the company

PLANT LAYOUT OF MYTEX: QUALITY CONTROL &INSPECTION:-

As per the requirement of the modern economical world demands vary quality with competitive rate to satisfy their desires, when they get quality materials while they are purchasing they are very happy & gay.

The quality needs to maintain & reflected the world-class standard because all the industry are growing very fast up to the international standard. Most of the factories have equipped quality assurance in every stage there is the quality assurance like tensile (strength) & digital strength & testing machine.

Preliminary checking:-

Now in yarn department there is a yarn tester which gives the use of ground & thinner which we can find out the reeds and picks. In the warping department there are sensors which avoid broken of warping ends.

In the drawing department each heald frames, reeds, healds, drop pins are properly checked by the drawing department inspector to enable to standardize & minimize the breakage of ends (threads) there the quality control occurs.

The beam gaiters are gaiting the beam very carefully. After starting the weaving machine there is a team of quality supervisors heads by the quality assurance manager (quality in charge). Every quality supervisor is responsible for 24 machines to check the fabric woven on the first stop of a supervisor checks each & every detail mentioned in the job card thoroughly. He has to see patterns, designs, picks, width, yarn quality to use as weft with this type of supervision about the checking of starting of woven fabrics. The woven fabrics rolled shifted to the grey department for grey checking by the well educated technical oriented person. Here, the grey checker is checking very technically by using various concepts finding a mistake which is not visible in the machine, found & call the appropriate man & machine technician & giving instructions to solve that mistake. This way up to grey department quality control is very prompt. After checking again the roll going to mending department for rechecking for further quality control, which few of mistakes of the fabrics is rectified under the mending department people. After the mending there is a final inspection inspector is known as final checker, rechecking both the end of the woven piece. Hence, these goods are ready for dispatch.

Final inspection:-

Once the required lot out of total patch (consignment) some of random pieces are taken out by the S.Q.C. (Special Quality Control) in charge before dispatching the Grey goods to the process by the entire satisfaction of the H.O.D. to prevent the rejection is avoided because of this type of quality control is important.

Quality policy:-

(1) “Quality is the essence, chase quality, quantity will chase you.”(2) To give customer satisfaction by providing quality fabrics & respect, reliable service. This

shall achieve through continue improvement in quality of fabrics, process & system with involvement of all employees of their skills & training to facilitate the intelligent & the skilled persons in the staffs & entire team.
