SCHOOL CONCERT—Wed 13th December
ONLY 4 WEEKS to go, tickets are available at the
school office. $10 per adult and $5 per child,
family tickets are $25 (2 adults and 2 children).
The venue is the same as last year—St Bernard’s
Primary School, Bacchus Marsh. This is a fully
seated venue.

PRINCIPAL AWARDS
FOUNDATION TRANSITION DATES:
Friday 24th November 9:30-11am.
Introduction for students to Investigations. Please send your child with a
hat, labelled water bottle and snack. They will again be meeting their
buddies, and will also be exploring the playground at recess (accompanied
by buddies).
Friday 8th December 9:30-11am. Children will be participating in Music/
Art/ Sport. Please send a hat, labelled water bottle and fruit snack with
your child.
Parent Information Session in the Library followed by morning tea in the
staff room where parents have the opportunity to meet with all staff.
PARENT / TEACHER INTERVIEWS
These will be conducted on Thursday, December 14th commencing at
1:30pm and concluding at 5:30pm. We encourage all parents to take this
opportunity to have a Parent Teacher Interview. A hard copy of the form
was given out to children today. Please complete the form and return it to
your child’s teacher asap.

CHRISTMAS HAMPER
Our school is asking for donations for our Christmas Hampers. The hampers will be
raffled during Term 4 and the winners will be drawn at our School Concert on December
13th. We are asking for all families to donate 1 item as the hamper is made up of dona-
tions. Items can be left at our school office. More items means a larger hamper, your sup-
port is vital in making the raffle a success.
LOST PROPERTY
As the end of the year is quickly approaching, our school is asking all students and parents
to check our lost property basket. The basket (located in our first aid room) is over flowing with items and all
items must have an owner.
SPECIAL LUNCH DAY—7th December
Our next and last Special Lunch Day of they year is on Thursday 7th December. Forms were sent home
yesterday. Please return forms and money by 4th December for catering purposes. NO LATE ORDERS can
be accepted as we will only be ordering exactly the amount required.
SCHOOL BOOKLIST
22% of School Booklists are currently unpaid. As a matter of courtesy, could all outstanding amounts be paid
asap. Please note, if you are unsure of whether you have paid for your booklist, please contact our Business
Manager, Karen. All unpaid booklist accounts need to be paid by December 1st.
Statement of accounts have been emailed today. If you are unsure of your account please ring Karen.

OHSC—ASSISTANT
Myrniong Primary School Outside School Hours Care is looking for a new assistant educator for our small, commit-
ted team for 2018, with training beginning immediately.
Myrniong Outside School Hours Care provides a warm, welcoming environment for students and operates between
the hours of 6:30am-9:00am, and 3:00pm-6:30pm on school days. Our program is based on the National Quality
Framework, and follows the “My Time, Our Place” framework to provide a range of learning and play opportunities
for children in our care. We pride ourselves on our strong relationships with children and the professional conduct
of our staff.
Our new staff member will hold, or be working towards, a Certificate III in Children’s Services (or equivalent),
Diploma in Children’s Services, Diploma in Out of School Hours Care or other relevant teaching qualification such
as a current VIT registration. They will also hold a current Working With Children Check. Current first aid training
with CPR and anaphylaxis management is favourable.

END OF YEAR EXCURSION
Our whole school will be going to Ballarat for our end of year excursion. The day will begin with a movie at the
Ballarat Regent Multiplex followed by grades participating in a variety of exciting activities. Permission slips have
been handed out today. Please return with payment of $15 asap.
FINAL ASSEMBLY
Our final assembly for 2017 will be conducted on Thursday 21st December commencing at 1pm and concluding at
1:30pm in our School Building. All students will be dismissed for the Christmas Holidays at the end of the assembly.
SCHOOL COUNCIL MEETING
Our final School Council Meeting for 2017 will be conducted on Tuesday 19th December at 5pm at “The Barkly”,
Cnr Main Rd and Barkly St, Ballarat.
