My Trip to the Ear Doctor

I am going to see the ear doctor. Her name is Dr. Amanda Levy. She is an audiologist. She loves to sing and play guitar.

The office is

in a big building. After we park, we

will find the door with the letter

H.

Behind the door there will be fun books to read and chairs to sit in. My parents will

let the doctor know I am here.

When it is my turn, Dr. Levy will call my

name and ask me to come and play.

My family, Dr. Levy,

and I will go into the

exam room. Everyone will clean

their hands with soap.

The doctor will look in my ear with a special

flashlight called an otoscope. It

tickles!

Dr. Levy will take

pictures of my ear! It is really

neat!

Don’t forget to smile!

After, Dr. Levy will have me listen to spaceship

sounds! They sound really

cool!

Next, Dr. Levy will help me put

headphones on my ears. The doctor will put one on each of my ears. I cannot touch

the wires or the headphones until the doctor helps me.

Dr. Levy may

invite her assistant to come

and play with me!

Dr. Levy will ask me to listen and follow directions. We might look at pictures, or I

can copy what she is saying.

Then I can play with more toys and listen

When I am all done, I will get a sticker!

My family will talk to Dr. Levy, and I

will listen quietly.

When we are finished, Dr. Levy will say

“Buh Bye! Have a good day!!”

Then it is time to leave.

I am all done!

I had a lot of fun and did a great job!
